To me, it doesn't add up to the whole "80% need to awaken before Trump makes his move" because if this was all true do you know how many people (liberals) would be furious at the deceit rather than thankful for the rescue? This is a much less painful way of doing things, for everyone, and anyone capable of seeing the truth would probably appreciate that.
Theres also this: if Trump is really in charge, and keeps playing it this way we run the risk of everything becoming TOO corrupt to be saved, even if he is the president on paper somewhere.
