They are definitely a violation of freedom. It’s a taxation and limitation of your rights. I don’t need to pay the state $10 so I can go fish. I don’t need to take a test to kill a deer for my freezer.
However, we do need an ID just to keep things lined out.

Imagine how much money would be saved, in the entire economy without these things.

If you don't trust someone, be a man and learn to do it yourself. Electricity isn't all that difficult, especially if you're just doing a little homeowner project. I'm 31, and can probably wire a whole house safely with about 1 hour of training and a few YouTube videos. Might take me a little longer than a pro but I guarantee the house won't burn down. Let the dumb ones sort themselves out.

I have zero issue with groups that want to certify various trades. Doing your research you can easily determine if you trust said groups & their standards.

An electrician can save your house from burning down, but shouldn’t be able to capitalize on him standing in the way of you connecting to the grid.

If I hire a guy to do electrical work and my house burns down, I am going to sue him, so it behooves him to do a good job. Well... I fully UNDERSTAND where you’re coming from. But safety can be the difference in life and death. It does infringe on Liberty though. Maybe we have “no safety zones” where people who truly want to be free can all do their own things.
I’m a multi craft engineering tech. I work on everything from mechanics, hydraulics, electric, steam, gravity systems etc..
If you’re grounded out in your house build, then when you connect to the grid, you’re putting a ground on the entire hot circuit, meaning 100s maybe 1000s of other homes around you.
I’ve totally connected a piece of grounded hardware into a live circuit before.. and spent tons of time replacing relays and fuses to everything in that circuit, it takes a millisecond of “oops” to really mess a lot of stuff up.
Liberty has no bounds though. So that’s a tough one lol
People have ways of finding out about those who do work for them: Referrals, written reviews, etc. It's not about the license, it's about their training and experience. That's all I'm saying. I know some very crappy people in my profession who have licenses and it doesn't help them be better at what they do.

I think the majority of permits, licenses, and taxes should be abolished after we take our country back.
There are certain examples of licenses that make sense. I am not against having a license for operating a motor vehicle, boat, or aircraft. Those clearly make sense. But the hunting and fishing licenses, and permits for what you can and can't do with your own property need to go.
As well, I feel that the tax system could be consolidated into only two taxes. There should be a federal sales tax, and a state level sales tax. TWO NUMBERS that cover all the taxes a person needs to pay. No more of this phone book tax code bullshit that you need to hire a lawyer to even understand.

no, driver's licenses don't make sense either. You could require a driving test to see if they are capable, and let them go if they are. If they break the law, arrest them. If they kill someone arrest them and put them in jail. What does the license have to do with anything??
