If Covid can be easily transmitted by breathing or sneezing... then why do they need to stick a cotton swab 4" up your nose to get a sample and test for it?
If Covid virus isn't in your saliva or close to the nasal openings... then you either don't have it... or it isn't transmissible.
Had to get the PCR test before me and the wife flew to Jamaica on vacation. I swear it felt like some kind of chemical burning and smell. I joked with her that I was fine before until they GAVE me COVID. She keeps calling me a conspiracy theorist, cause I spend a lot of time on here.
It’s the damnedest thing when all the conspiracy theories start proving true.
My mom is being forced to be tested bc there was an “outbreak” at work. She absolutely has to, I told her to fight it and make them fire you, she says she can’t. Is there anything to fight this?? I really don’t want her to take any more vaccines or test swabs. She tells me none of the nurses want to stand up. They already bullied her into taking the vaccine, and now she has to be tested every two weeks. She doesn’t want the PCR test..
exactly...it is used to sterilize virtually EVERYthing in the medical field! If it is a problem on the swabs, we have a MUCH bigger problem to deal with!
I worked for a company that used ethylene oxide for a sterilant. It was ideal for sterile packaging. The product was assembled into a sealed package and then subjected to ETO exposure in a sealed compartment. The ETO would penetrate the plastic and sterilize the contents without being touched by human hands. The compartment was then evacuated. No ETO hangs around. It is not an issue for human toxic compatibility; the products were intraocular lenses and no problems were ever noted. It is foolish to get obsessed over this. There is no basis for thinking the swabs are "soaked" in ETO.
As for antifreeze, you are probably confusing it with ethylene glycol, which is a completely different chemical compound. (Not good to ingest, however.)
But they are also saturated with nitrogen, oxygen, CO2 and other trace gases. How long is ethylene oxide gas going to hang around? (Hint: it's a gas.) I think this is a "flat earth" category distraction.
So I've had 1 PCR test done, am I at risk of dying or getting majorly sick at all? It was back in December (I actually did have covid/the flu), and so far I seem to be all right, no major medical mishaps.
I’m not a med professional, but I doubt it...my gut tells me repeated exposure could be an issue...like if an employer requires daily or weekly testing in lieu of vaccination.
That's what I'm thinking too. Like being exposed to asbestos or lead once or twice won't be horrible, but it's repeated and prolonged exposure which leads to injuries/getting sick.
My husband and I are traveling to Mexico in 2 weeks and will have to have our very first PCR test done since this whole thing started, to get back into the US. My husband is super nervous about it because he’s read about how bad the tests are for you. I am just trusting God for protection that it will not cause us any harm. Plus, like you said, I would imagine that having one test is not enough exposure to do anything anyway. I know people who have had to be tested weekly for months and I would imagine that would be much worse.
It depends on the nurse who is giving you the test for how bad it might feel. For my brother who got it at the same time as me from the same nurse, she shoved it way up his nose and it bothered him for a few days, but then she came to me and it didn't go as far. The best thing to do is to keep your mouth open and breathe that way, close your eyes and count to 10 or 15, it doesn't take longer than that. It's horrible that we even have to go through with this though.

It attacks blood cells, so why not a blood sample?

If nothing else, she can't asked to be tested in a different manner, like a spit test.
She has to mKe them fire her. She should also give them the liability letter to sign.
Ethylene Oxide is used to sterilize surgical equipment, in anti-freese etc and it was also found in some foods, so there's that

You a chemist. A medical scientist? My wife is and this is a problem. Also, many will learn humbling truths.
