The only answer we have is to dig deep into local government & build our communities - which is a hell of a lot of work when everyone is so damned fearful. The fear is the biggest weapon they have. They use it to isolate us ( They Want Us Divided ) & to make normally relational and logical people stop using logic and fall into emotional reaction.

If I were trying to write a fictional screenplay for a failed presidency, I literally could not use half of what has happened in the past ten months.
It would be so unbelievable in a fictional setting that people wouldn't be able to suspend their disbelief. They'd get halfway through this movie and walk out and say it was totally not believable because any president with this many failures to his name would have been impeached already.
As I was typing this, I thought the exact same thing. The only way that people would sit all the way through this movie is if it was a Ben Stiller absurd comedy.
Mel Brooks could have pulled it off, but it's too late now.
It's like Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Saw some of it with a coworker on a business trip (hotel lounge). He thought it was funny, but I had had too many recent business trips that could have been fodder for the scrip. So I went off to read a book.

The only New Orleans station still carrying a lot of information and reporting is Fox8. If you watch WWL (CBS) or WDSU (NBC), you'd swear we never had a hurricane. I can tell you as a resident of a hard hit area, we're pissed. About the only "news" those 2 stations carried today was when Xiden came for a visit.
NOLA lost power and maybe had a few trees knocked down, so the fact that the rest of south eastern Louisiana has been practically destroyed and that we are doing most of the cleanup ourselves, is not newsworthy.
If you can pull through as a community without federal aid, it isn’t a news story. Keep on trucking, LA!
Also, Lenin refuses to visit the areas devastated by communism - he only kept himself in the purview of where it benefitted. Biden is keeping his head in the sand. Similarly - ever seen him at the border? No.
Both Terrebonne and Lower Lafourche were saved from worse devastation by a levee system the citizens of those parishes paid for through taxes. They had begged the Feds for years and nothing was happening so they took it upon themselves to get it done. Saw some Terrebonne officials interviewed on a local channel and they were PISSED. Mike Seidel from TWC did a segment about how there was NO levee system protection for the area from the Gulf. Some of these guys busted their butts for years to make sure the levee was built and built right. The levee systems did save both parishes. There as a tremendous amount of wind damage but little to no water damage in these 2 parishes even though Ida came ashore the 2nd time basically on the border of Lafourche and Terrebonne. Other parishes flooded big time.
Moral of the story: If you want something done, don't count on the feds, do it yourself.
