My girl got hit with that shit over the weekend. Wasn't too bad, low grade fever for a few days. She's pretty much back to normal now but can't smell or taste a thing. She's been taking zinc to help it. Anyone know any remedies or how long it takes before it comes back? I read about olfactory training. Fuck the CCP and their lab experiment.

My wife’s coworker got this shit, and rather than no smell abilities, she would smell random stuff like gas, natural gas, rotten food. Weird shit.
Mine and most people I know were about 10-14 days.. had everything back to normal by day 14.. was just really tired until 21 days
Smell slowly returning after around 2 to 3 weeks. Taste fluctuates with appetite and gastro issues
I know someone who wasn’t right for months. Lol sucks for him but most people it comes back around the time you have purged it from your system. My sons came back the day his quarantine was up haha
Mine took 10 or so days, taste came back quicker (still diminished) than smell..... For about 10 days my poop didn't stink! HA!
Thanks for asking.
I’m finally dealing with the Coof right now (been trying to catch this sht for a year, so 👍), and that is one of my main questions, too.
As for other symptoms, a little Coof cough, but mainly just exhausted now for going on almost a week now. But getting better.
Been trying to catch it? For natural immunity? Yeah look into scent training and olfactory training on YT. There's a few essential oils to get and you smell each for 30 seconds at a time in the morning and night to jumpstart your olfactory system again. I think it was lemon, clove, rose and eucalyptus?
My wife’s took months
My daughter and her husband are following almost the exact timeline. They got first symptoms a week ago today. Daughter lost smell Sunday, son-in-law yesterday. They say they feel fine otherwise. So, we'll see what shakes.
A good month for me.
No return of taste or smell after having covid in November 2020.
C + Zinc should clear it up in a week or two. (when I had it, I don't remember having issues smelling things, but then, I do recall my temperature running about 101.5 (When my temp runs about 97.8 or so, and having the chills :( Make sure she's getting enough fluids, as well!
took about 2 weeks. Beer still tastes funny though, oh well, scotch and bourbon taste good again :-)
My friend had the same thing happen to her. She said it was about 2 and half weeks. Food was pretty much depressing for a while she said. Although, she said she ate a lot of healthy stuff during this time.....spicy foods and soups are what she ate....and she thinks what allowed for her to get her taste back. She said the smell was like a chemical smell......? And that went away around 3 weeks.
Oh, also hot tea seemed to help.
Mine came back, the wifes didn't. Upside I can fart in the car and she doesn't even know. Sometimes I intentionally do it to test her.
Hubs was diagnosed last Tues, I got the diag this past Thurs. We've already started to get taste/smell back. Hubs had some prescrip meds for cough/nausea after a virtual visit and we've just been taking a lot of Dayquil/Nyquil. We just have a lingering cough now, I have a touch of dizziness from time to time. Other than that, we're on the mend. We were vaxxed too (hubs with Moderna in Feb, me with Pfizer in April) but after this we're both like, 'fuck anyone who approaches us about a booster shot'
Couple of weeks. I suggest she practice smelling things, like coffee, peanut butter, lemon, etcetera.
A friend of mine had it Nov 2020. Spoke with her in July and she said it starting to come back a little. Seems to vary with everyone.
Maybe probiotics would help. Most of the immune system is in the gut. Fresh probiotics are best.
2-3 days
I got my taste and smell back after 14 days...but for about three days my mouth tasted like metal. Like i had coins in my mouth. I’m just getting over that today.
It has been a year and I still cannot really smell or taste anything. I have noticed that bland is better. Anything with red sauce, Mex or italian taste like soap. I assume it has to do with receptors in my tongue not recognizing the molecules of the spices. The signal it sends to my brain is mixed up some how.
I have lost over 30 lbs since I have no desire to eat anything.
I lost it 5 days after exposure and it started coming back slowly a couple weeks after exposure. Some people have lost it for several months so I guess it varies.
For my sister, it was about a week.
Did your girl get her scent/taste back?
Currently the only thing I can actually taste is spicy beef jerky. Really hoping the taste thing only lasts a couple days
It's the only part of this sickness that I have really had a problem with.
Thanks
Yup after about five days. Did some research and there’s this thing you can do called scent training. We got some essential oils; lemon, eucalyptus and clove. A few times a day you just spend a few minutes smelling them and then just keep smelling stuff around the kitchen; peanut butter, hot sauce, basil etc and think in your head what those things smell like. It sounds weird but it works and helps jump start and bring back online all the scent receptors that virus messed with. When it comes back there can be a weird chemical/burnt/metallic smell too but that gradually goes away.
I'm 4 weeks out. No sense of smell at all. Taste slowly coming back online.
We went over this in homeopathy. Check out Joette Calabrese: https://joettecalabrese.com/blog/loss-of-taste-and-smell/
Had it in January. Smell and taste came back within 2 weeks, but still have issues with certain smells. Can’t stand what was once my favorite perfume.
