Fren,

You should definitely give one of the many Linux distros a try.

My suggestion is to download Virtualbox (it's free, virtualbox.org), install it in Windows, then download a .iso of a version of Linux (Ubuntu desktop, Mint, other) and install one of them as a virtual machine in Virtualbox. This will allow you to test out several distros, if you don't like a particular version, delete the virtual machine from within Virtualbox and install another one.

If you find a Linux version you like you can then backup your important files to a USB drive or the cloud (Google drive, dropbox, or other similar cloud environment) and install the Linux OS directly to your PC or you can use Linux directly in Virtualbox as your daily OS.

The website distrowatch.com gives a ranking of Linux/Unix/BSD popularity as well as provide summaries of what each distro is about. There are MANY cool distros that all can cater to different things and have different layouts. I encourage you to give several a try.

There are plenty how-to's and videos describing how to install the .iso in Virtualbox, setting up the networking, resource management etc., as well as plenty of how-to's and videos on installing different *nix versions.

You could also do the opposite, install a version of Linux as your native OS, install Virtualbox in the Linux OS and then your Windows 11 as a virtual machine. I joke with a lot of people (I believe it's true) that a good way to make Windows more stable is to install it as a virtual machine on top of Linux! KEK!

Please keep in mind that each virtual machine that you spin up is sharing your hardware resources across your native OS (Windows 11 today) and all the running virtual machines. You can manage which virtual machine gets what resources with Virtualbox.

There are also free versions of Microsoft Office clones out there for Linux/Windows/Mac like LibreOffice, OpenOffice, etc.

Go pack sand Bill, you are part of the world's problem. How many people have you maimed or killed with your endeavors into the medical world? Please find a short pier and take a long walk.

That is awesome!

For the love of all, can someone important please go to jail! I know it isn't my time schedule, but I fear for all of our kids' futures, we won't be here to protect them forever. It is unbelievable the amount of evidence that exists and has been presented for sh!t to keep going on. I'm not a shill, doomer or quitter, it is frustrating that very little groups and/or groups of people seem (judges, law makers, Mitch McConnell, etc.) to give two sh!ts about evil people doing evil things. Why do the good die young and evil lives forever?

This should've been done a long time ago......

Case in point, the firm I invest with was the firm in charge of the IPO for Visa (the credit card company) stock in 2008. We were allowed to request to buy shares at the $44/share of 406million shares IPO. I requested 100 shares ($4400), I got 5 shares allocated to me. I know someone that requested 1000 shares, they got 10. Nancy Pelosi (or Paul) got 50,000 shares. How? Why? I got 5% of requested shares, I'm sure she didn't request 1,000,000 shares.

People serving the USA should not get rich serving our country as a politician. This is as messed up as a soup sandwich.

Where in Central Florida is good to live for jobs in IT. I prefer out of any city. If the linebacker wins as governor in Georgia, it will be time to GTFO. Thanks in advance!

Interesting thing about protecting silver that we did not know. We were given a small amount of silver, some rolls of 1oz .999 silver rounds and some actual 90% silver legal tender (Morgan silver dollars, Roosevelt dimes, Washington quarters, etc. all pre 1965). Our insurance company (State Farm) will not insure bullion (our rolls of 1oz. .999 Silver rounds) but will insure our Morgan silver dollars. This is crazy, neither one is traceable.

Look at the time (18:53): 1 + 8 + 5 + 3 = 17

AND

the date (5/27/21): 5 + 2 + 7 + 2 + 1 = 17

Things that make you go-- HMMM :)

Thanks Gesirisi! So last year I bought my son and I season Braves tickets for the first time, then came the planedemic. They rolled our season tickets to this year. Then we got All-Star tickets. I've given up NFL, NBA because of mixing politics with sports. I watch sports to be entertained, to escape politics. Pro sports used to appeal to most Americans, do they realize the people they are alienating are their biggest support group? Dumb.

The saddest part of it is you can't make an 11 year old understand how his All-Star tickets are no longer valid and the game has been moved to a woke state? #SuckItRobertManfredJr. #MLBYouAreDeadToMe #MLBunAmerican #MLBNoLongerAmerica'sPastime

I'm in Atlanta, for 2+ years they've been talking about the All-Star game coming to Atlanta. I secured my 11 yr old son and I tickets last month to the All-Star game. He was so excited to go to the HR Derby and now this. Politics have ruined and have no place in sports. I love the Braves, but if MLB is going to be this dumb because they don't like the ID voting law, the MLB can take the Braves and GTFO. The MLB shouldn't be able to earn another dollar in Georgia. For the MLB to be so naive and selfish and crush many children's dreams of attending an All-Star game in their backyard is beyond sickening. I hope Cobb County and the City of Atlanta sue. This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen from the dumbass left.

I think being evil makes one act stupid, I believe pride blinds and blocks reasonable thinking. King David wrote, "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good." Ps. 14:1

Pretty well sums them up.
