When we come across people who say "everybody is doing X," one of the best ways to counter is to say, "Oh, actually a lot of people are not doing X."
There is a logical fallacy called "Ad Populum" or "Appeal to Popularity." The idea is that if some idea is popular, it must be right. It is popular to believe that 9/11 was done by 19 hijackers from Afghanistan (never mind they were mostly from Saudi Arabia, etc.). But just because it is a popular opinion does not make it a true fact.
Here, the flea market guy thinks that if a lot of people are getting the jab, it must be a good thing. By saying in response, "No, actually a lot of people are NOT getting the jab ... it might even be more people not getting the jab that are." It doesn't really matter if it is true or not. The point is to break through his logical fallacy and through his false sense of reality.
It doesn't matter if 99% got the jab, it still would not prove it was a good thing to do. But since he is stuck in simplistic thinking, respond with counter-simplistic thinking.
You don't talk a 6-year old mentality the same way you do a 60-year old mentality.
Maybe we should respond to immature thinking in a way that they can understand. People like this do not understand the concept of independent action and critical thinking. They don't understand why someone would want to stand out from the crowd. But they do understand that they "should" do what the crowd does, so they convince themselves that what they are doing is what "everybody else" is doing. Break through that, and maybe the start thinking.
This was very true, exposed in the hidden recordings of Antifa. They dream of communism, but they talk about how great it is going to be, it is never about how great people's lives will be. Instead they like to talk about punishing or killing people like me, and how great that will be.
These Antifa dolts need to pick up a history book and see what happens to them when their side "wins". They won't have any time to kill people they hate for political reasons. They're the first rounded up, executed, and thrown in a ditch by the same people that supported them! Tyrants know how useless they are ... They only needed them for their effective rabble rousing techniques.
The Antifa types have been discarded almost immediately after these revolutions though. They're not even given a choice to behave. It's more like "Thank you for your service, now line up against that wall". They are literally that useless overall.
Anyone that hates the communists but keeps their mouths shut are given more "tolerance" than those that actively work to install that worthless form of government. The communists know that they can't kill off everyone ... few on their "side" have skills needed for their Utopia ... Last night I dreamt I was at the dentists office and I had just gotten word that everybody in the country was required to report for a mandatory vaccination the next day...and also that we had to bring a sample of our own blood plasma for some reason. Then my dentist said everyone got a polio vaccination and they turned out alright. I told them Covid has a much lower mortality rate, and they just shrugged.
Fortunately that was a dream I could wake up from.
Today I am attending a meeting of a book club. A few of us are unvaxxed and meeting at my house. The rest are vaccinated and meeting elsewhere. We will be conducting the whole thing via facetime or somesuch.
Vaxx does not prevent anything. Both my 93 yo in laws tried to end around me and wife to pressure us to get shot. Guess what? Now both inlaws have COVID. I see no upside to bullshit Vaxx.
