I cancelled this week, it was the single most enjoyable custom service experience ever! Plus I save 150 dollarinos a month since switching to streaming.
I worked for one of the shittiest ISPs known to man. The equipment they used was absolutely garbage. We had to lie to every customer every day and pretend like we don’t know what’s going on with their equipment. Quit that job last week, best thing I’ve done in the last few years.
This had been going on for awhile at multiple businesses. My husband has had two weeks off of work because our kids got the seasonal cold and he was banned from the site. Oh well, I enjoy having him home with me! Lots of honey dos get done 🤣
Yep my old work had that if you admitted to anything you were sent home. I was pregnant and of course never felt nauseous or sore or tired ... never cause I needed their money.
If you lie you're just allowing the problem to grow. Now is the time to stop it. If it isn't stopped it will become main stream and when that happens any chance of fighting it in court will be gone.
This is typical practice in the film/TV industry except we use production assistants to enforce instead of guards. Everyone lies, but I had a friend who was not only “quarantined” (fired for two weeks) but also accused of lying on his questionnaire before they inspected his nose and “found” covid. We were one of the first industries to go back to work and all of the questionnaires and apps and tracking that we see now, they tested on us first.
DIrect TV sux balls anyway. Seriously, tried it twice in two different states and it's the same. You get any rain cloud in the area and it cant hold a signal. A full on storm, you're just screwed until it's over...which, arguably, is when you should need it most to keep apprised of hazardous conditions.
I have to call an "attestation" number every morning before I go into work. Have had to for over a year, except the few months I got to work from home. It's only 4 questions, one of which involves symptoms.
Self screening apps have been a thing in Ontario for at least a year. You have to answer questions which anyone could easily lie about. How they keep anyone safe is beyond me...
If your sick and feel like shit, stay home. This has been standard practice since the beginning of time. If you are planning on going to work while feeling sick during a "pandemic" answering questions on a useless app isn't going to change the outcome. It's just bullshit legal ass covering attempts by companies to waive liability.
If you feel sick, eat some chicken soup and watch "The Price Is Right" and relax. The crap you need to do at work will still be waiting for you tomorrow.
I couldn't possibly use Direct TV less than I currently do.

That's what you get for being honest.
When businesses are being dishonest, it's an employees responsibility to be dishonest in return. :>)

Comcast?
I know a lot of people don't know about the routers you rent.
The company I worked for is worse than Comcast.

so just fucking lie? why is this so hard
Because that won’t fix the problem,
Companies operating in the land of the free need to respect our freedom….
If society consists of mostly liars, the groups that can stay honest with each other will have a massive advantage against others.
it’s not even a lie, i assume most directv employees aren’t qualified to diagnose anything

Cannot confirm, but I wouldn't be surprised and will give you the reason why I say that.

They are headquartered in California. Do they have an office in Biose, that isn’t a reseller?
Dumped Directv almost 5 years ago. Cut the cord and let them sink!

Doesn't sound believable to me. Direct tv doesn't give their employees sick days?
The death star purchased them so....yeah.
My jobs been doing that for over a year. Your access code you get from questionarre opens the traffic gate.
