I follow independent ameture meteorologists for the weather and they are always more dead on that the freaks that work for news stations. And they tell you further in advance, the other guys are more controlled and don't give you as far out of a warning about things.
With that said, a lot of people believe that we have started a cooling trend and possibly moving into another mini ice age, so prepare accordingly if you live up north. What happened last winter (to many of us anyway) may have just been the start of it, rather than a fluke. We'll see. But I think that's what Trump is referring to because the mini ice age theory has already been circulating for a several years and I believe started with a russian scientist.

I remember years ago it snowed in april. A cold front randomly hit us. I remember because I was camping, left wearing shorts and a tshirt. No one saw that cold front coming. Wasnt much snow, more like little flurries. But weird for april.
North Texas and South Texas and West Texas and East Texas all have very different weather. I'm in South Texas. We did get that big snow last year, but prior to that the last significant snowfall here was in 1985. We don't get enough rain.
What happens at Christmas? We wear our shorts and tshirts and flip flops and a Santa Hat and have a cookout (hahaha) We don't get nearly enough rain, usually. Here in San Antonio we are basically North Mexico.
It probably will go back up. It's that time where every day you have to check the weather to see what you need to wear. Hot one day and cold the next, then back to hot.

Same happened here in FL. Woke up this morning and it was 70° at my house. May not seem like much, but to a born and bred Floridian like myself, the temp change is definitely apparent. When you're used to 80°F temps at sunrise, 70 feels cool. Humidityy is down, as well. And I heard we're getting a "cold front" now.
I think about it constantly. It is cooler and it has been cooler here in OK. Even on the hot days the humidity we're used to having was gone. I think the "global warming" was actual weather manipulation that has now come to a stop - at least in an attempt to warm the entire planet.
We're heading into a solar minimum period. Expect the averages to get cooler over the next few decades. For the past 50+ years we were in a solar maximum period
The sun's solar maximum and solar minimum cycles are only every 11 years tho. The last minimum started in 2008... That puts us at a maximum in 2019 and lessening from there when we hit 2030 and we'll be at another minimum.

North texas - was 102 on monday. Now in the 80s and low 90s. A little bit of a shock to walk out the door on tuesday morning lol

In MI we went from mid 70’s to low 50’s overnight but that’s not uncommon for this state. We never actually put our winter clothes away lol.

Here in East Tennessee, we went from mid 80's with high humidity to upper 60's and low humidity. In less than a week. Very strange for this area.
