I don't get it. These EOs and PEADS are just words on paper. Since when have words on paper stopped the dems from doing stuff? They break laws all the time, why shouldn't they just ignore the PEADs and do whatever they want to do?

In other words, what's the penalty and why is it stopping them from acting?

What gives these PEADs and EOs so much power?

Interesting but illogical.

You have to assume biden isn't a dementia patient and that the military isn't going woke woke using the vaxx mandates as ideological purges to think there's anything to this.

I really want to be wrong but 2 + 2 = 4. You can argue to the contrary all you want, but until you bring me 2 apples twice and show me that makes anything but 4, I can't see anything but insane straw grasping

Presidential Emergency Action Documents are draft executive orders that are prepared for the President to activate in emergencies. Highly classified, even from Congress. Iirc the only other person with access to them is the Attorney General, to ensure that everything is consistent with the Constitution.

Alot of the chatter that I have seen suggests that Trump activated Continuity of Government, and by extension devolution, through PEADs. This would explain why Schiff and other Ds in Congress are still trying (and failing) to get access to them, even though their man is supposedly in the White House. They know that Trump did something, but what exactly he did is the question that keeps them up at night.

The human trafficking EO says they can take all of someone’s money, and here is the best part....they don’t have to notify the person it’s being taken.

There was a story awhile ago that said sorrow put a fuck ton of money in crypto.

They sound unconstitutional

Our government works for us

secret documents are unconstitutional

Puts A LOT of trust in the Attorney General. Good thing they've all been so incorruptible. Pretty sure the framers of the Constirurion wouldn't go for this government in secrecy thing, but what do I know about this clown world.

So... only the president and AG can see them.... and we're to expect these 2 to not just toss it out?

Are all top clarification? Is this why none are dug into re PEADs

NOTWOKE 10 points ago +10 / -0

PEADs are classified “secret,” and no PEAD has ever been declassified or leaked. Indeed, it appears that they are not even subject to congressional oversight. Although the law requires the executive branch to report even the most sensitive covert military and intelligence operations to at least some members of Congress, there is no such disclosure requirement for PEADs, and no evidence that the documents have ever been shared with relevant congressional committees.

Why are we not creeped out by these in a general sense though. Is a Constitutional Republic supposed to have this much power vested in the Executive Branch?

Thank you - this is making perfect sense now and the link appreciated I thought Patel did mention and go over this on #12 I could be mistaken

I agree and have the same thought. They've already wiped their ass with the Constitution and Nuremberg codes. They lie under oath. Heck, they murder people. Why would this be any different? We live in a post-constitutional America where laws only apply to certain parts of the population while others act with impunity.

Exactly. So if these PEADS are so powerful and can't even be looked at by the current "administration," why is that? What stops them from just going in and having a look? What stands in the way of just ignoring all of it and doing whatever they want to do? How is this enforced and how is it so gosh-darn effective?

Yes, I have read Patel's devolution stuff but I still don't have an answer to why the dems can't just go look at the PEADs, and certainly no answer to why they can't just ignore them.

The military won't let them look nor ignore??

2
slokill 2 points ago +2 / -0

No kidding. They can't see the PEAD so there's no proof it exists. They can just write their own double secret PEAD to supersede all preclvious secret PEADs. Doesn't really make sense unless you believe in absolute dictatorial powers.

I remember the first time I watched a blatant lie by Clapper to Congress. I was so taken aback. Forgive my ignorance. Then Lois Lerner.

No accountability at all. DJT and Russia, Russia , Russia was Dems. Never being immediately called out for the obvious lies they told.

Then it dawned on me. I was blind. They are all in it together.
