Well apparently Pelosi's talking about stepping down after the pork bill passes.
That shit isn't going to pass. Pelosi already demonstrated she doesn't have the power muster the votes to pass it even under threat of a surprise vote. She was humiliated on the floor when she tried to do just that, and the opposition said "fawk no".
They basically have till 2022 to pass it... because the left is going to be physically violated by the number of seats they lose.
So she isn't stepping down. Not with the possibility of being a stand-in president seeing that Biden is a few steps from 25, and even the left hates Kamala.
The point is she's talking about stepping down.
They talk about a lot of stuff. That's kind of the point of politics. It's less about doing and more about talking.
She promised at the last election that she would never again assert her seniority to claim speaker.
