I was raised chrsitian and I know Christianity was and is a big part of the American way of life and was heavily incorporated into our founding. I never could shake the feeling that Christ loved me. Not because of fear, but something that just wouldn't let me go. Prior to the 2016 election, I felt christ speak to me. It basically said it's time to choose a side right here and right now. I was overcome with Christ's love, he drew a clear line in the sand. At that moment I knew a spiritual battle was about to be waged.
I can not stress enough on how real the power was from christ speaking to me. This was not a "coming to Jesus" moment. This was the real deal. So everyone better buckle up and rejoice. What is coming is coming and we need to be thankful for God's plan.
I highly recommend putting Genesis on hold and reading the Gospel of John. Then finish Genesis, Exodus and skip ahead to Deuteronomy. Then Acts/Romans. Gospel of Matthew and then the rest is up to you.
There are so many lessons to be learned, it’s a really good source of wisdom if you interpret it properly. A lot of it, I believe, is a collection of true old ‘moral of the story’ tales. I am religious myself, but I always think of Christianity as a philosophy (guidance to live by) as well a religion (a higher being to believe in).

Why WERE we chosen? I'm no autist by any means but, perhaps we were chosen because the people who are on free speech platforms such as 4chan are deep seekers of TRUTH. Most are pure of heart. Others have the talent to communicate through memes. Others have decoding abilities.

You are correct, the death of the old man, the man of sin, reborn of Christ. The unbelievers are dead in their sin. The second death has no power over believers. The physical death and the second death are basically the same thing, you die in sin and are judged for it. If you kill old man sin in this life, through faith, you go straight into glory when you "die." I wouldn't call that death.
Put that in context with the first resurrection that happened when Jesus died (all the graves bursting open) and the second resurrection in revelation.
I cannot cite any bible verses, but I do know back in the day they didn't have printing presses and the word was re-written by hand many many times. And edited by different entities.

I'm a devout atheist.
Every night for the last week, I've been reading the bible. About half way through Genesis atm. I've learned a lot of lessons already.
The two biggest lessons in the bible: 1. God helps those who help themselves. 2. Redemption is always possible.
