Think about it, they can effectively argue that the prosecution had made the case and the star witness showed that Kyle acted in self-defense, and once they realized it they used every dirty trick to try to make him look like he did anything wrong...

I think if a jury declares you are innocent, there is nothing that change that. You are free.
The jury doesn't declare anyone INNOCENT, because under the law, you already are presumed innocent. The jury can find the defendant NOT GUILY or GUILTY, but never in the history of our constitutional republic has a jury "declared" someone "innocent."

A "hung jury" is a made up thing. If a jury does not vote to declare guilt, the defendant goes free...........at least that's how it is in the common law courts that we used to have and must take back.
