And he said yes. And now he's "not happy." But when those checks start piling up he's gonna brag about it. Then others will do the same.
This is how the spiritual battle will play out. Not behind the scenes, with people debating about the existence of God. It's going to be a choice. Choose God. Get nothing from this world but hardship and heartbreak. Or choose Satan and get everything you ever dreamed of in this life... but at what cost?
Context is key. There's a much bigger message behind those verses.

Being famous and rich sounds like it would be great. I am old so I think I know better. Being just a happy family man with people that love you is way way better.
