How do they know their covid wouldn't have been exactly the same without the shot.... There's no way to tell...
Just coming here to say ^this^. It can never be proven one way or the other.
This has always been my objection to the claim that the vaxx makes the symptoms less bad: there is no way to make a controlled experiment to support the claim. What you would have to do: take the exact same person but somehow have one version of him vaxxed and another version unvaxxed. The closest they could come would be identical twins, but even they can have environmental and behavioral differences that can influence different pre-existing health conditions. Next you’d have to infect each of the two versions of the person with the exact same strain of illness with the exact same density of infection, and under the exact same circumstances. Then you’d compare and contrast their symptoms.
Besides the ethical dilemma of intentionally infecting humans, the experiment is practically impossible. So the vaxx hoaxers’ claim isn’t scientifically falsifiable. “Lessens the symptoms” is their last desperate straw to grasp in the face of widespread knowledge of the vaxx’s inefficacy.

I once had a flu come on so fast. Within 30 minutes I went from normal to a shivering mess. It took me months to get back to 100%
I have also had covid and it was nothing compared to that flu.
Same. The flu is so much worse. I didn't have a runny nose or even a fever with covid.

Polio and smallpox ARE viruses, as is measles. Substitute "measles" for "tuberculosis", and your meme is accurate.

Viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites are all categories of pathogens (even though not all of them are pathogenic). Yes, you treat them differently, but you still treat them with some sort of therapy, because they also cause infectious diseases.

I humor the argument. I ask this simple question. If the shot reduces symptoms, then doesn't that mean you're the one threating others? If I get sick, I'll know to stay home until I get better. If you get sick and barely feel anything, you're going to infect everyone you come into contact with. So who's the real threat here? The one that knows they have it and stays home or the one that doesn't know they have it and infects others?
I brought up this similar argument in a town hall for my company. As we return to the office anyone who is unvaccinated is expected to wear a mask but those who are vaccinated do not need to wear a mask. So I posed the question in the public chat for the town hall and said if vaccinated have less symptoms and still catch it and still spread it why are you differentiating between vaxxed and unvaccinated. They chose not to answer my question in the public town hall.
Exactly. It makes no sense. I'd push for an answer if possible. I don't think I've ever come across anyone that doesn't realize they can still spread the virus despite vaccination status. So I really press that scenario and they just don't have a proper answer or just fold and admit the issue.
Well we were supposed to start going back into the office January one, but thankfully due to the Omicron variant they have pushed going back into the office indefinitely. I could not be happier. All the while still telling people they should get vaccinated and boosted to make sure that everybody stays safe. You can't hear the sarcasm in my text but believe me it's there!

This is actually not true about the polio vaccine. It was back when they used a live virus, but the synthetic one nowadays will only prevent children from getting paralyzed, but they can still get polio. We just haven't had a case of polio in the northern hemisphere for 15+ years, which is why the polio vaccine is perhaps unnecessary.
