because the only people that are going to watch the rally are the people who already know. If he held a press conference, it would get more press coverage especially since itd be on the year anniversary.
His points were legitimate points forming a coherent argument with some logic. Of course one can make a counterargument using logic and citing evidence as well.
Then the audience reading will see a healthy discussion take place and be able to form a more robust opinion and be more able to defend their position in the future.
Seeing someone bring up some valid points and getting drowned out by down votes doesn't have the same effect, at least in the case of this particular comment I was replying to.

These are valid points. A press conference would get the eyes and ears of those who watch the press as a larger subset of population.
The rally won't be covered and is more geared to his supporters.
I disagree somewhat about the press conferences, simply because I'm hesitant to believe they wouldn't just blacklist him from all their controlled DS TV networks, and shame anyone else out of attending any of "Donald Trump's desperate 'press conferences', as the orange buffoon calls them" -- then again, I don't think OANN or Newsmax care what they think.
I think a Trump rally is the perfect environment for him to drop bombshells and say a lot of things that everyone as a whole would want to hear. OANN covered his last few rallies, if I'm not mistaken. I tuned out early of the last two when he got into stump speech mode -- but I get that he's there to rally support for the local running politicians. Between the opening of the rally and when he gets into more stump speech material is not just exciting, but he's made news from things he's said at rallies.
This could be it. Does anyone know if TruthSocial will have a livestream function? If he canceled his press conference because TruthSocial is going live soon that would be one of his most genius moves yet. Not only could be be sure he would be able to broadcast (if live streaming exists), but he could require anyone that wants to see the presser and/or ask questions to have an account. Even better, he could send out info inviting media worldwide.
Day One of his new social media venture and he already has millions of subscribers immediately. Make no mistake - those people won't leave, especially the media since they will be always monitoring to try to find more fake news to publish.
That's a 1-D move, handshake. I'm inclined to believe that by Trump pulling a fast one at almost the last minute after the DS swamp rats have likely made their plans will cause many of them to tune into the rally just to see what Trump is up to. Curiosity killed the rat, so to speak. Let them spend their ammo.
Besides, fcuk anniversaries. Xiden tried that at the botched Afghan pullout, and look how well that turned out. And press coverage? They ignored the Abraham Accords, what makes anyone think they'd be interested in a press conference?
Well because as far as I can recall, Trump has NOT held an official press conference since he was president. I know he challenged anyone to a debate about the election before, but if he were do it - explaining it more - at a press conference, it can get more attention rather than him doing it at a rally.

That's a fair point, you shouldn't be down voted for this. Discussion is key to finding truth.
I disagree with his post having been deleted, but downvotes are part of the discussion process.

That's a fair view.
All good points.

What’s the point of holding the press conference if msm won’t air it?
