Justice Clarence Thomas was certainly not a backfire. He had a rocky confirmation road (thanks in part to someone called something like "Cho Bai Den") but he has been a rock-solid Conservative for Americans.
Yeah, lots of nominees went more liberal after confirmation. Very few (any?) trended more Conservative over time. I'd love for that trend to reverse...
I remember her defending a child rapist in her early career, bragging that she got him off and also her being involved with the lawyers during Watergate. The confirmation hearings would be interesting.
What if this is a White Hat operation? Imagine, Breyer retires and the ink is dried, Biden/Harris are removed soon after, Trump gets back in, now vacancy needs filled, appoints another Conservative nominee? Timeline would be tight, but doable! haha!!
So... if it does come to pass that the 2020 election is acknowledged to be fraudulently gained, and Biden in the meantime appoints someone, does that appointment get nullified?
Perfect opportunity to wake up Americans as to the shenanigans currently going on, and have more and more people beg for the truth. A SCOTUS appointment could be part of the precipice.
That tells me the democrats know they're losing the Senate in November.
He'll probably be replaced by a black woman, it's all about identity politics with the left. The candidate will have a terrible judicial record, but it won't matter. Hell, they'll find a lgbtq candidate if they can.
For once I'd like to see the Dems nominate a candidate that backfires on them and becomes the next Clarence Thomas.

What I’m saying is, I’d like for them to nominate a Sotomayer and get a Thomas. This seems to happen in reverse to a lot of GOP nominees.

Just sayin' - Hillary got her law license back.

That is interesting, I didnt know that.

But it will more likely be a Loretta Lynch type.
I was wondering if it was a marker too. Was Breyer ever mentioned in a Q drop?
There was a 4-year Q delta about resignations/retirements today. Eerie.
Kewl
Remember white hats in control. The person that is chosen is the one who will wake the most people up.

If The Potato has a say in it and he is under White Hat management, his choice of candidate could turn out to be very interesting.
