The old definition was: "The belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, that a person’s social and moral traits are predetermined by his or her inborn biological characteristics."
Obviously the new definition marginalizes and/or oppresses white people based on a socially constructed racial hierarchy that privileges people of color, but of course that's not racism by the new definition, even if it was by the old definition. Providentially, the Overton window does not work overly fast and it can be broken if the enemy is forced to accelerate the increase in water temperature. So people are awakening.
And last I checked, white was a color. I'm going to recommence an exploration of my Ghanaian roots (I have never been to Ghana and am not knowingly descended from any Ghanaians) to see whether I should identify as a person of color.
White people can be very colourful! They can turn blue with cold, brown from too much sun, yellow when jaundiced, red and purple when enraged, green when sick or envious, grey when dead.
Oranges are also always in season. I often identify as orange or pink but am considering my alternatives.
