It’s bigger than the Olympics. The younger generations have a larger fraction that don’t care about sports and never will. The ratings will never come back.
The younger generation actually plays Olympics on their video games and that is way more entertaining. There is no need to watch the real (fake) Olympics and the kneelers and squealers.

the coverage has been getting worse and worse since what, the 90's? And now they do this weird theme thing with all the props and theatrics and it always looks cheesy and evil like the Gotthard tunnel opening ceremony... more and more graft and less and less about the actual athletes. Remember what a joke Rio was?

You don’t get to bio nuke the world and expect applause, and Olympics has been propaganda for a while now anyway. That 7.2 million is also most likely inflated.

I live for the olympics. Like, literally devoted my life to a (Summer) olympic sport. I am actively boycotting because - everything. I find that I no longer enjoy sports anymore, TV or entertainment in general. They don't deserve our energy. God and saving the Republic do.

I don’t care about doxxing…FBI was already at my house over J6. I was a gymnast. My parents defected Communist Romania so it’s pretty much their National past time there. Now I’m disgusted by the fact that the Karoli’s most likely had a hand in Larry Nassar’s abuse over the course of decades and it sickens me that I held them, gymnastics and the Olympics in such high regard. Yuck.

I used to love olympic hockey, but not anymore.

In my opinion, no country worldwide, should have sent their athletes to this event, especially with the CCP locking down major cities for the Coof.. which they are trying to keep quiet, for the past 3 weeks.
I just hope that there is not a more deadly virus, about to be unleashed on the world, because of this potential superspreader event..
I will not be watching any of this spectacle.
This is what I'm thinking could be an outcome.
Athletes from around the world show up and new deadly virus spread amongst them and then they all bring it back to their own countries.
Hopefully this will not happen.

I think that a lot of this also has to do with the shit attitudes of the US Olympians who completely disrespected their own country because "orange man bad".
Who watches the Winter Olympics? It's the sloppy seconds of sport. I haven't even seen snow in real life.
