How can assume that an evil greedy corporation cares more about the bottom line than human life just because they make it very clear they care more about the bottom line more than human life?
They're psychopaths and they don't think what they do is wrong. In fact, they are so proud of their evil they are like evil supervillains in movies and they want monologue just so you know how "smart" they are.
