Russian cos are now required to pay back foreign creditors with Russian Rubles. They won’t like that. Also some Russian Bonds can’t be paid in rubles so those should default and hilariously there are a shit load of Credit Default Swaps that because of the nature of the default won’t get paid either most likely.

Effective immediately, Visa will work with its clients and partners within Russia to cease all Visa transactions over the coming days. Once complete, all transactions initiated with Visa cards issued in Russia will no longer work outside the country and any Visa cards issued by financial institutions outside of Russia will no longer work within the Russian Federation.

I read that they were only stopping payments coming out or going in to Russia. Payments within the country are still happening.
