I don't understand this at all. All the polls of actual Americans are opposed to this, and have been for decades. Yet, politicians refuse to adopt the measures that citizens want...no surprise...but why this particular issue? Is it to keep us off-balance?
It has been shown that with longer 'days' people spend a lot more money. More daylight = more shopping, which means more sales tax. It's a money making scheme.
Farmers DETEST Day Light Savings Time.....
Just messes up the day...... Go out in the dark, and by sundown its almost 10:00pm. That sucks. 9:00pm is late enough.
But hereβs an idea... why disrupt all of society so that farmers can have sunlight earlier, is it so hard for the farmer to adjust their day accordingly?
they should just call it the "we don't give a fuck about farmers anymore Act"
if I'm not mistaken the clocks have been changed to benefit farming and provide an earlier dawn during the cooler months but perhaps I'm mistaken
Because society lived for Thousands of years without DLST. DLST was only to save on the power surge when everyone turned on the lights (thus Day light Savings Time, as the ELE system was not as robust back then. (although wither it is these days is debatable) It was Never about giving ppl a extra hour after work like ppl now think it is.
The suns natural cycle is better suited for humans, animals and plants. DLST tends to get the natural sleep cycle out of sync. Many places like Arizona, and most country's do not have DLST.

I believe this originates from the German military from WWII.
If true, wonder how this practice migrated to the US now...
So I just lost an hour of sleep... and can NEVER get it back again?
You'll have to take it for the team.

Since when do farmers have to rise and go to bed by the time on some clock, vs sun rise and sun set?
Took them long enough.
Disclose TV didn't want to go out on a limb and fact check this?
