GME was up around 30% today.
$94 - $123
If you are into money. YOU need to ask yourself how do I make the $$$ if we trust NCSWIC?
Anyone else seeing that mirror?? 17 the same day $GME goes up 30%? I mean the odds the stock even closes at $71.00 on the dot ever is kinda crazy but the same day GME rolls up?
just for fun. The mirror of 71 is 17
There's almost no reason to buy DWAC over DWACW unless you plan on day-trading or swing-trading.
I didnt buy DWACW because Im an amateur investor who has no clue what he is doing and doesnt know or expect know how to exercise a warrant properly
My broker doesn't do DWACW I believe so I have to stick with DWAC.
Change brokers or open another account with another broker. I use fidelity.
I started with Fidelity in the UK, but I had to move because they would not let me buy US shares in an ISA (that's a UK tax free investment account) so now I am with a broker who won't let me DRS any of my GME shares, but at least they aren't allowed to lend shares which are in an ISA as far as I understand it.
Try to find out if that’s the rule for the ISA or if it’s just your broker. If it’s just him, cash out and go with a broker that will do it. You might be able to just purchase them directly from computershare.
I bought both. And a 2 year leap option (strike $105).
Yup, I got 100 shares of each. Holding for at least 5 years, the dwacw has to be exercised before the expiration, which I think is 5 years.
HODL! u/#wwg1wga
But you can’t exercise until after a merger, am I understanding that right?
Correct, but you can sell the warrants before or after the merger. The merger is probably close anyway...
Ok good to know. Thanks!
You can sell out of the money calls against DWAC and create some income. Right now you can sell someone the right to buy DWAC from you for $80 before the market close on April 1st (about 9 days). That is 9 dollars above todays price. You will get about $2.00 per share. If you did that with 1000 shares you could take the $2000 and buy s little over 100 shares of DWACW. If price is less than $80 a week from Friday you can repeat the process. If the price gets above $80 you will sell your shares for $80 each and then you can buy 900 shares of DWACW. The extra funds will allow you to buy more DWAC even at a higher price.
Nice. My GME had a good day too
What is the difference between DWAC and DWACW?
DWAC is a share of the stock. DWACW is a warrant, which is a like a voucher. After the merger, you can exercise each warrant into a share for $11 each. The only problem is you'll end up paying income tax on any earnings instead of capital gains tax, which is a higher tax rate. But overall you come out ahead.
After the merger ... can you expand a bit more on that part.
TMTG will merge with DWAC then warrants can be exercised, I think.
Correct.
Thank you. Might be a dumb question but how do we know when a merger happens? Is it something they just announce when it happens (or is going to happen)?
M-A-N-I-P-U-L-A-T-I-O-N
Do stocks usually close on an exact amount? No change? Is that rare?
Chance of that happening is probably about 1 in 100......
Funny.
