Chris Rock walks up to his que, centre stage in front of entrance from audience. He cracks jokes at Xavier bardiem about his wife and than at will smiths wife, precisely about her hair or lack there of, she earlier publicly set stage that she has alopecia, bald lives matter. Will walks up the convenient path and gives a slap to the smiling, leaning forward Chris rock. Profanity ensues as will just sits back down without any security or producer intervention. Convenient that wills movie he’s a dad to the victim hood of the Williams brothers. Cruelty and abuse..how shocking. These are all actors, well rehearsed and scripted. Don’t believe it for a second. Charges at this point only elevate the narrative they sell, it’s all bad acting.
I hate talking about Hollywood and it sure does look staged, but staging black on black violence on national television is pretty bold.
I watched the slowed down version, and Chris Rock does 100% anticipate the hit, he winces and leans into it, making no attempt to stop the blow. Will Smith pulls his slap and barely makes contact with his face. If something else wasn't going on here, I would expect Chris Rock to back up or block the blow.
I think something else is going on here, I think this secret religion they all belong to has a hierarchy, I think Will Smith is higher up in that hierarchy then Chris Rock is, therefor he has to take the hit... Will Smith pulled his punch a tad as to not knock him out on air. Chris Rock being the jester has to keep going, because that is his place in the hierarchy.

So Jada said she was going to boycott the Oscars because her husband was not nominated for movie Concussion. Chris Rock joked that she really didn't boycott she was not invited to the Oscars.
