It used to be an unspoken, unwritten mandatory rule that people be allowed visitors while hospitalized. Then "visiting hours" were introduced, and that started the descent.
Service workers stopped treating people as humans and instead treated them as widgets. Then they got insulted when you watched them work on the widgets, kicking relatives out of operating rooms. COVID allowed them to kick everyone out of the hospital so they could work in private.
I am certain that medical misadventure set records in the past couple years.
I think also this applies to Covid visiting restrictions. Still have this in Ohio. God bless this man and his thoughts. The parents/loved ones forced to die alone in NHs and Hosps without family was UNFORGIVABLE..

In 2020 they only let 2 of us in at a time once Grandma passed. Yesterday when my other Grandma died they were allowing 4 people in at a time while she was in terminal decline but once she was gone they could all be in there. It's bonkers.
To think DeSantis almost lost to the Democrat. That Democrat ended up being found drugged out in a pool of vomit with a male prostitute. There had to be cheating but the Trump people voted in huge numbers. No one in their right mind would have wanted the Democrat, he was so bad.

It was very difficult for my father being in the hospital alone for two weeks in January (because of his heart) and the family not being allowed to visit him because of the COVID protocols hospitals were following.
Ohio House just passed almost unanimously a similar bill. Called the Shirley and Wilma law after two people who died alone. Hopefully the senate will pass and the weasel will sign it. I have some serious governor envy.
I just cannot see why the Dems, who, clearly have elderly and infirmed that are in institutions and suffering terminal illnesses, don't demand that their own Blue state governors enact this type of legislation. Dems are misguided , proud, and closed-minded - they aren't generally evil, as a rule.
God bless the Governor and the legislators for passing that law. It is such common sense to allow patients to have a family member or a friend to be company, but more importantly as an advocate when doctors and nurses come in and treat or talk about treatments to patients who may not be "all there". There should never have been a reason to need this law.

Everything is corruptible. The founders deliberately separated the power of leadership between the Fed and the states and even broke up the Fed into the 3 branches and finally set up controlled revolutions every 2 and 4 years through elections.
I think the problem with One World Government is there is nothing to protect you from the eventual corruption of the leadership. Currently "DeSantis" (of the saints) appears to have the concerns of the people at heart. But what would this government be in 10, 20, 30 years?
All government structures and economies are flawed because they are run by flawed people. Currently, small democratic governments with limited powers and Capitalism appear to be the best way for societies historically. But we have now woken up to the fact that with time and money these can be corrupted as well.

But by your own admission, anything carried out on Earth by humans will be corruptible. Even if a one world government was founded upon the principles of Christianity and Jesus Christ, men would still be carrying out all the day to day functions that is any government or social leadership. Jesus isn't directly here next to us making decisions or taking actions. We can hollow him and the Holy Spirit as best we can and to the best we understand, but there's always the chance we're wrong, don't have enough information, or whatever the case may be. Even if righteous men were to properly found such a one world government, it could go ok for 30 or 50 years like you mentioned, but as new people work into the system and manipulate situations for their own gains, you're devolving again towards corruption. Humans aren't perfect as you said.
Jesus is coming again. Perhaps not in my lifetime, but he will return. I am not advocating a "one world government" founded on Christian principals.
I am advocating following the risen Christ. When he returns, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. This is the only world government that is will be incorruptible. Until then I am for as small a government; with limited powers and as much individual responsibilities and freedom as I can get.
