Part of me Wonders why President Trump didn't do this. I can't imagine they could keep him banned if he owned a huge stake and was on the board of directors. With all his money, it seems like it would have been easier than what he's doing now.
From what I've read, Elon only paid around $2.64 Billion. Trump is a genius businessman and even if for some reason he didn't have it, I doubt it would be difficult for him to get it.
