I totally missed that. Yeah, that is weird. The Tampa Bay article I read said that they have to perform some functional analysis to ensure they are following laws. I bet they’ve already done it and that weird projection enables them to meet the law specifications.
About time a republican governor plays by the democrat rules. I read yesterday that this would negate the gains that democrats have gerrymandered for themselves, which is why Elias is upset.
Twitter serves child porn and our hosting company requests takedowns from us with a response time of one hour, which is impossible. Therefore this service is taken down until this is clarified.
This is an amazingly un-gerrymandered map. As a geography nerd, I'm drooling in excitement!
I know. I was shocked when I first saw it. I think it will be the example to the rest of the states when they address the messes that they have.
The worst is section 20 which has some weird parts in the NE section. But otherwise this could be mistaken as a normal looking map of counties.

Listen to the tears!

A good balance to what they did in NY.
What did they do to New York?
They made huge rural republican districts to minimize their seats. Made a bunch of small sections neat urban centers to maximize dem control.
Pssh. Here in California we just make mail-in balloting permanent so that the Dems can steal elections that way. NY is amateur hour.
This is probably the least gerrymandered, updated map I have seen in my almost 30 years of following politics!
Democrats more concerned with their twatter echochamber to even notice the FL goat in action…
It was 16 Rep districts to 11 Dem. This map makes it 20 - 8. We gained one seat.

Marc Elias weighs in. Shows red vs blue version of the map well. This is just delicious! (Both Elias response and DeSantis chess playing!)
Nitter never works for me. Anyone else? Twitter link:

Just delete the "twitter.com" portion and replace it with "nitter.net" and leave the rest of the URL the same.

Cool. I'm using this map to figure out where I want to start looking for property.
Thank you.
Anytime.
WTF is that first part true??
