🤣 I just found her on Instagram. I’ll follow people like this until they get on my nerves. She can’t be the only one informing people about led toxins.
True. I guess if you handle bowls while preparing or serving food it can be an issue. Can’t led be toxic to skin? I don’t know a lot about this subject.
Look on that site. There’s some plates I believe are from that company. The company advises to use as display only. Heck that’s the plates we ate on over the first ten years of my marriage.
What is considered vintage? I got some of this from my mom's kitchen which I'm sure she's had for at least 40 years. Is there some sort of cut off date when they figured out that lead paint was a bad idea?
I'll probably just put the ones I have in storage since there is probably no way to know for sure.
Probably depends on where it was manufactured. China, for instance, probably still uses lead paint. As for paint in the USA, since 1978 it's been lead free.
My concern is on what’s coming in now from China. I believe they make some pet foods. I remember some toys were recalled several years ago. We’ve got to take manufacturing back! Also our country needs safer stricter laws on toxins in everything!
I agree. They make a lot of things like dishes and glasses that we eat and drink from. So many things, if you stop to think about it. I've purchased things on amazon that I had to send back due to the smell being so overwhelming and frankly, toxic smelling. I wouldn't be surprised.
I'm in mid 40s and I'm guessing my mom probably got this stuff for a wedding present before I was born, so it would possibly contain lead. I think I'll take them out of service just to be safe. Thanks
This information is also on the social media accounts. Please look over entire site. I’ve seen multiple items I used to have in my kitchen. Look at the baby bottle information.
my understanding of pyrex as that they changed the chemical makeup of the original product and that is no longer safe. not supposed to use in microwave and had lots of toxic side effects with usage. now they are claiming original is bad too?
I remember Pyrex was in the news about ten years ago. The “new” (before 2000s maybe) will explode in microwave and oven.
My Pyrex glass dishes are from 1988, wedding gifts. I still use them in the oven.
I don’t remember toxins, doesn’t mean you are wrong. I’ve never watched much news.
Used to follow her. Until she started talking about being a Bernie supporter. Then I figured the lead had gotten to her.

The paint is on the outside of the bowls.
You need to throw them pyrex away, so you can buy CHYNA bowls that really have lead in them.

This is who they aren't mentioning...

I think that's wise.

Shit i have green and yellow ones
If you have it I guess throw it out, but if you collect it, then it’s not going to be used. Issue with vintage Tupperware too.
