...and the 2016 movie titled Arrival is yet another (VERY likely White Hat inspired) gem from that list that will one day be heralded as a movie that was most essential for mankind overall. Mark these words.

check out Eyes Wide Shut. That movie got Kubrik killed
I'd like to see the roughly 30 minutes of the ritual that got cut out. Supposedly he was forced to cut that portion by the powers that be.
had not heard that. wow. i thought he was about to reveal the faked moon landing.
May I recommend Boondock Saints to anyone who hasn't seen it. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0144117/
1999 was a great year for meaningful movies.
Perhaps not in the same league... but Beetlejuice wore red shoes... Watched it last night.
Arrival is interesting because of how it deals with language. It essentially conveys a truth and a lie. The truth is about how language strongly forms the way we think, the lie is that language is magical, and can defy reality. The lie is what progressives think language is, a magical reality altering weapon. But if language does not reflect reality it is useless, or at worst it can become full of lies that kill future generations.
You should read the book, The Four Agreements, by don Miguel Ruiz. It talks about language and is a book full of much wisdom. Words can be used as black magic without us even knowing. We were born into a system of it. Ever wonder why we call it โspelling?โ
I've read that one a few times. It does contain some truth and revelations in it, but with the exception of God created miracles, a human uttering words do not create anything. Words can be the spark to further action that creates change in the world, but uttering sounds does not create reality. That is how morons think. "Words are violence." "That speech changed the world." "That spell made her fall in love with me."
Don't get me wrong, clear communication is important, but they should reflect reality as it was, is, or how it could be.
Mr. Robot V for Vendetta too
Love. Time. Knowing. I get it.
And you do it anyway...
The matrix was not an eye opener. It was brainwashing. The "one" is the Anti-Christ and the system is God. The oracle Satan. The entire point of that movie is that God keeps us trapped and the One via Satans guidance is the way out. That God is ruthless and doesn't give a shit about humans etc.
So being in a system of lies is God's kingdom? I think you got the message a bit mixed up.
The Architect = God
Agents = Angels
The Oracle = Satan
Neo = Anti-Christ
Morpheus = The Pope
The above is how the roles are designed
The reality is that they want you to believe that God is a bad guy, the Oracle (Satan) is good and wants humanity to be free. How? By the anti-christ "one", Neo.
That is the true message of the movie. The Agents are Gods angels. They depict God as this cruel being who treats humanity like dirt. Recycling us as he pleases without caring about the suffering and agony.
The energy "the machine" uses is similar to humans praising God. Once humans stop being batteries, then we can be free from the system.
Hot take! Never bothered to analyze that particular series of films in that depth, but I'll say you're not the first I've seen mention this angle.
Filing for later / reserving judgement.
Why would anyone down vote such interesting ideas?
Probably cause they don't understand what I wrote. They think I'm labeling God as the bad guy rather than describing what the movie depicts God as lol
Quite ironic that you people say you hate Satan so much, and yet, that dude living rent free in your heads literally ALL of the damn time...
So NOW I finally understand the meaning of that phrase that we all learnt as kids; the one that begins with "An empty mind..."
It seems to me, the question hovering over it all, is "Does love override everything else, including the pain?" And I believe the answer is "yes". I think it can apply to our particular situation quite well. Do we continue forward with hope and love for humanity while knowing full well half of us are probably maimed or well on their way to dead? Do we fight on through the horror show because we believe that love, ultimately, will redeem mankind and bring about something better? Do we love them even though they've been horrible and blind? Do we see value in what we do as an expression of love or hate? Anywho, I just see shit real deep. If anyone doesn't appreciate it, I could, honestly, care less. My motive has always ultimately been about love. I know it and thats all that matters.
Well said! :) :) :)
Thank you. It was a great recommendation. I had never seen it. I cried. I understand. It's the WHY that will lead to th HOW that we are waiting for HIM to deliver on so we win. Love is the ultimate power.
This is a retarded response lol. All the people you understand to be the DS are Satanists lol. You think they dress in purple garments and praise Moloch in their little retreats for fun? lmao
Anyone seen the fourth Matrix movie yet? I heard some folks out there say it's good, but I haven't seen it myself as of yet.
P.S. No spoilers please, everyone! :)
I "watched it" in the background while I worked, which is to say I didn't really watch it at all. The bits and pieces I saw seemed far less offensive to my standards than I expected from the user reviews I'd read. Not really my go to in terms of style but I would recommend it if you're interested. Didn't seem like complete shit. Then again, I enjoyed the first three Matrix films on their own merits. ๐
Watched Arrival twice. Not really a fan but can but see why others would enjoy it. Generally, I dislike Villeneuve's work. Both artificially sterile and precious in my eyes, which reminds me of sociopathy. If one can overlook that, more power to them.
Frankly he gives me bad vibes, and I came up on the most repugnant video nasties. It's not just what he makes, or how he makes his films. It's also that he's been championed to remake very important scifi classics (which both surprisingly included much of the underlying human pathos of Dick's original texts!) and turn them into shoegazing vaporware. TBF, I saw Blade Runner 2049 too drunk but I've seen enough of his work to not rewatch it.
Enemy is interesting though...
But hey, cheers! Try some Tarkovsky. โ๏ธ
See ^^^this is why I trust Pede Movie Reviews over Paid Movie Reviews anyday! ๐ :)
The 4th Matrix film has a very different look than the first three; more natural light in particular, and a different, often lighter tone.
It is based as fuck despite what others have said about it. If you haven't figured that out earlier in the film, the end scenes will clear it up for you.
All the Matrix films have more drawn-out violence than I'd prefer; the 3rd in particular has long grinding set pieces of outright war with the Machines, which gets old very quickly (to me, anyway). But the first, second, and fourth have enough interesting dialog and symbolic representation of our Good vs Evil situation to make them powerful Red Pills and honest classics.
Good vs Evil, Freedom vs Slavery, the importance of Love, and the concept of the [control] Matrix itself are the major themes throughout the series, and the new one continues with that.
Looks like I'll be watching this one for CERTAIN then! :)
