I love old Route 66! I went to college in AZ back in the '70s, when there were still many sections of Route 66 still used, before I-40 totally replaced it. There used to be a chain of motels and gas stations "Whiting Brothers" that would be about ever 50 miles or so. They advertised their gas as "mountain blended" (but was probably the same cheap, non-brand gasoline all the other non-brand stations sold :). Route 66 when it was first completed (in the 1930's?) must have been awesome, providing a little taste of the old west.
G66 is also gcode for 3D printers which means execute a command on all future tasks with the settings listed after it. Kind of interesting, I wonder if GLE means anything
