Every police institution in this country should be pro 2A. Not only simply pro 2A but actively advocating for it all the time. Why? Because armed citizens are not targets for criminals. It's as simple as that. There is no complicated argument here.
All these chiefs and cops who come out in these big cities and talk about the dangers of gun ownership and promoting buy back programs from law abiding citizens should be fired and jailed for treason.
If I'm carrying in a town, city or state where everyone else or many, many people are carrying and have loaded firearms in the house, criminals aren't gonna fuck with me nor am I gonna fuck with some random over say road rage or nonsense squabbles. Everyone will understand the risk.
Even the most daring criminal will think twice.
Now, I know the argument that people immediately bring to the table; "cIty FunDed PolICe Can'T"...blah blah blah
Nonsense. Cities would rot without police as we have witnessed over the last two years especially.
So why aren't ALL unions and active members advocating for 2A all the time and putting pressure on mayors, councils, counties, governors etc?
Because the vast majority of them would be without jobs.
Crime would plummet and the vast majority of these guys would be unemployable outside of waving their badge around and making sure citizens aren't able to defend themselves by "doin muh job" (taking orders to disarm citizens in crime infested areas)
Police have so much power over rights in this country yet they cower all the time and allow tyrants to implement unconstitutional policies by complying with the order rather than stepping aside and refusing.
The above is why I have zero respect for policing as an institution. While citizens sacrifice to resist tyranny, they allow tyranny to dig deeper and use the excuse of "muh job".
Until we sort that situation out, the police state will continue to ram ahead. And don't get it twisted either. There will be no invasion of the US. IF that day comes, the enemy will be wearing a badge and lives down the street from you.
I had a forensics professor who upon retirement, wrote an open letter to the public through an op-ed in the newspaper.
He warned of the militarization of police and how history showed there is no turning back from losing one's republic when this occurs.
Of course he waited until he retired.
Testicles. Use em if you gottem.
They always wait to give their 1A protected opinions after the pension is provided. But when they're working, they will do everything they can to strip you of your rights.
Brainwashed people make great lap dogs.
Fair weather fiends looking to wash laundry after all the mud has been splashed.
"You better hurry home Frank, I just raped your wife and kids, just thought I'd give you a headsup."
Unfortunately that's exactly it.
LEO are a big part of the evil cabal that is trying to run the world. To wit:
I don't trust cops, just like I don't trust doctors and nurses. When I was a kid (60 years ago), we trusted cops and doctors. Sadly, things have changed.
Right? If my kid were in trouble now I'd have to think twice before telling them to find the nearest cop, like the books I had as a kid generally advised
Agreed. Modern policing is a terrible, corrupt and commercial institution. I highly doubt the vast majority understand what the oath they take means nor care to.
Tyrants and order takers by nature.
Not true. Many officers have discretion and are decent public servants. The tyranny comes from chiefs and corrupt cabal serving county officials who don’t give a shit about you, but they go to the lodge and pay their dues so they get to tell everyone else how wrong they are. Many like myself left due to the obvious tyranny in the department. Sometimes the Good guys do battle evil on your behalf, and you will never hear of their sacrifice and the battles.
The fact that you, a good cop, had to leave "due to obvious" tyranny is further proving my post's point. I didn't say individual cops were bad. I wrote the institution of policing is corrupt. Meaning, modern policing overall is not pro constitution.
I would say the leadership is not entirely constitutional. City = municipal departments are mostly city council henchmen. County Sheriff can be and some are deep state operatives but some are good sheriffs who care about their people. You mainly see good county Sheriffs in states like Montana, Alaska , Wyoming, and Judd in Florida. Texas has big nasty politics in their counties due to the majority of county commissioners court calling the shots and not letting the Sheriff operate how they would like to operate. Hopefully this helps you learn some truth. God bless fren.
You are smarter than a regular Lap dog.
“An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.” ― Robert A. Heinlein, Beyond This Horizon
Exactly. Reddit faggots are always complaining about being mugged in big cities around the country yet want us to be just as vulnerable lol
People Hate to hear this, but it is the Truth, and NOT just ours...this World Wide PLANDEMIC would have and should have been over LONG ago, if there was push back from them.
When I served under the county sheriff all I did was promote constitutional carry and encouraged everyone to exercise their constitutional rights if they could legally do so.
Remember, cops need criminals, that’s what justifies their existence. Also remember, criminals are scary and dangerous. It’s much safer to bully law abiding citizens. Screw the blue
Power corrupts everything it touches.
When police (or doctors, scientists, teachers, or members of any other profession) are paid by tyrants, they will tend to support tyranny.
This is a general truth and a major reason why CIVIL society must be our goal -- a society where no one is allowed to initiate coercion against anyone else, and where punishment for doing so is swift, certain, and appropriate to the violation.
Power to initiate coercion cannot be reformed into something good, any more than rape can be reformed into something good. Rape is simply a particular instance of the crime of coercion; all other instances are crimes as well.
Anything less than civil society IS tyranny at some level, and once the kernel of Power is planted, that level will expand until there is no freedom left. We are almost there, despite the US government being "bound down by the chains of the Constitution."
The Market for Liberty is a good place to start for more detail on how and why a truly free market society (a CIVIL society) works and why ending the slavery of coercive government (i.e., throwing Tolkien's Ring of Power into Mordor) is the ONLY way to create a long-lasting, nearly incorruptible free society that serves the people rather than serving tyrants.
