Epic! This should be a book....oh wait.
i keked
According to God as written in Ezekiel, he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for their Pride...however, not specifically their immorality or perversions - those just added to the reason.
Ezekiel 16:49 & 50 :
Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.
Hahaha
We are certainly getting to the point where βburn it down and start overβ looks like the only viable option remaining.
Bwahaha best meme ever !
Nice blue hospital pacifier lol
I will ALWAYS updoot Baby Chad!
Well, try to rape God's angels, get your city burned. Play stupid games. Win stupid prizes.
I had to laugh but so true!
Yes, that would be God's chosen reaction to Drag Queen activities of any kind.
And then Lot was raped by his daughters to preserve his bloodline...
oh right... you're supposed to stop reading before that...
Do not confuse what the Bible contains with what the Bible condones.
I don't. Homosexuality wasn't even the worst thing they were doing, yet Christians point to Sodom and Gamora as a basis for morality... Yet literally in the next story incest is okay. The scene in the cave is never addressed nor are they held accountable as far as we know. So either fuckin your daughter is acceptable or our understanding of SnGs demise is greatly distorted.
I also love how the Torah is picked and chosen as to what supports the inconsistent Christian ideology, but pork is allowed because of an abstract interpretation of a dream...
Without Jesus, the Bible is a shit standard for morality... But I think that's because there are books missing and the current version has been perverted.
Genetics were still near-perfect at the time, thanks to the perfection of Adam and Eve.
It became damaged enough by Moses' time that it was then stopped.
Duh.
QIf you dont understand that not only did they live in a city that was so horrific in sin, perversion and debauchery (i wonder what they learned from all that)but they also thought the whole world was destroyed and there would be no more children. The sons in law did not go with them.
Doesn't mean it is not repellent in our minds. Our Father is not shy about telling the good, the bad, and the ugly including wicked Hebrew kings, rape, incest, and child sacrifice, murder, etc.
God has seen it all, and humans have done it all.
There is zero accountability for what happened in the cave. Thanks for the excuse, though.
Isn't it amazing how moral standards fluctuate to fit our own world views?
No excuse. It was one of the stories I had a hard time dealing with.
Gods world view hasn't changed and mine doesn't either. But it is a good thing He is the heart knower. Having been through a few things myself I know how messed up your thinking can get and how God's perspective can change it
That part isn't listed as a positive uplifting story but details how far they had fallen into perversion to think that way.
No it's often ignored because it weakens the "muh homosexuals" argument. SnG had way worse things going on than Adam and Steve plugging each other's corn holes. Pedophilia and other forms of rape were rampant and specifically the destruction order comes when they try to breed with angels...
Whoever left Enoch out deserves some time in the fire. Not eternity, but some.
They didn't try to breed with the angels - they just wanted to have sex with the strangers Lot brought into his house.
Because it weakens the "muh homosexuals" argument. But leaving Enoch out is also why our understanding of SnG is so distorted.
Moron...
This is some of your worst material yet made even moreso by your weak reply.
You disappoint me, Purkiss. You're usually more grounded and logical about this. And instead of teaching children about SnG, maybe we should be include the whole "love your enemies" and empower our children with joy and kindness and acceptance that a lot of them are just as lost and confused as we are. You don't have to condone anyone's lifestyle, not even mine, however unless Jesus Himself is leading the charge, we are called to love first and foremost.
