From what I understand, the reserve is to protect us from gas shortages like we had in the 70s. The issue now isn't because of shortages, but rather because of price.
Why would we be unable to replace the reserve by increasing drilling in the US? Hippy tree huggers are pissed off with Biden right now because they believe him selling off the reserve will cause more oil wells to be worked.
And wouldn't that actually help the economy a bit, getting more oil wells up and running? More workers making good money in the oil industry seems like a good thing.

This could warrant an entire post in of itself. Biggest piece of advice I’d tell people is this; get yourself independently strong and reliant. Mentally, physically and spiritually prepare. Organize with neighbors and likeminded. Redpill those that aren’t ready; be there for those that weren’t 100% prepared in some capacity. When things break down bad, depending on the area you live in, you could be stuck with people thinking all about themselves more than others or the opposite if you invested heavily into social capital.

Europe's gas prices are around double what ours are. Trump topped up the oil reserve when oil prices tanked during the pandemic.
Doesn't it make sense, financially, to sell our reserve to them now? Buy low, sell high, right?
