I think he actually did believe in a hands off populist type social media network, and then the intel agencies and foreign investors took control. The same guy who bought the Obama presidency was the guy who owned largest share of Twitter. Then blackrock vanguard took over largest share. Those large shareholders pick the board members, who really choose what happens.

Holy cow wasn't it!!! I remember a foreign exchange student from Spain came to our highschool, and since he had Facebook at the time, everybody started joining. And I saw this huge push by the school pop to migrate away from MySpace. And I liked MySpace. So I resisted, and boycotted FB until years after I was out of highschool. But I just remember there was a big push for FB. Waaaaaay bigger than MySpace.
Google, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, are all govt created. The "CEO"s are all controlled assets.
