These are just the physical assaults. I know the victims are spiritually and mentally wounded as well.
However what about all of the continual mental abuse they are doing the kids ( the ones not molested yet ) that is causing irreparable harm that usually lasts a lifetime.
What do u think a predator would teach their students ? They are just as guilty as the traffickers imo. They are all a part of system that creates the demand and facilitates the supply.
What are we as a people if we cannot do something as primal as just protecting our young ?
Predators would teach kids to not stand up to bullies. Predators would teach kids not to fight back. Predators would teach kids to always go tell the teacher and and expect the teacher to be the arbiter of Justice in other words to always go to the authority figure instead of seeking their own own Justice and defending themselves. Predators would be hugely in favor of 0 tolerance policies that punish the victim more than the criminal
Bingo. When there are enough people behind the victim pushing for an investigation then, and only then, will they take soft action. This action ( like the church ) involves just moving the predator to a different school or church. Doesn't fix the problem, just moves it away.
Local media ignores it. If the victims are lucky they get a little money to go away, if judge isn't a pedo / comped pos that is, OR they tie it up in court for a decade. Just part of why teachers union needs disbanded.
Predators go where the prey is.
And where people ALLOW it continue by sticking their head up their assses.
Precisely. Just ask the Boy Scouts what pedos did to them.

Matthew 18:6 “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!
i find that the lack of a metric for past years as a point for comparison makes me suspicious. while i like to believe that we are arresting more of them, i want a data point that makes the argument before i share something like this more widely because the first question that will be asked is: "how many usually get arrested in a year?"
I would say that it doesn't mention. And the I would say, "I wonder if it been covered up".
Because here's the thing. It actually doesn't matter what the number was last year (it does but just hear me out). What matters is normies are being presented with more of this and they should be asked if 180 isn't substantial enough. Say, " idk. What if it was higher? What's your point?"
i definitely think the number is higher, i just don't like leaving open arguments.
Same. Don't get me wrong I ain't complaining. I want these headlines up all day long no matter WHAT the previous numbers are.
But I am curious as well what those numbers are.
I have a feeling the number goes up every year as the state gains increasing access to our personal data for better or for worse.
They're being hired by schools ruled by the NEA and it's woke policies overseen by school boards ruled by the NEA and its woke policies. This is why I keep saying public schools can't be saved. The rot is too entrenched.
Those who are arguing they need comparison statistics - go look. I couldn't find any statistics for last year even on sites keeping tabs of pedophile arrests. But so what? There should be no teachers who are pedophiles. I think it's good that there's more awareness of this issue. And I'll bet the 180 are the tip of the iceberg. These are just the ones that got caught.
It has the same stink of the Catholic Churches and other religious organizations, Olympics, Disney... here's hoping people stand behind the victims and not the predators this time. Stop funding them and STOP sending their children into their clutches.
Wherever children are you will find pedos. Unless you keep all children locked away this will continue to happen. But even if you did that that wouldn't stop the most cases which are done by someone close to the family
Yeah, gotta rid the earth of them
10 PERCENT of KIDS are molested in school by people in authority?!? And those are only the ones we know about?!? And this guys' solution is a freaking study? There needs to be surveillance in every corner of every facility and instructions to the kids as to how to report and that this is not okay. They all need to be prosecuted, and no "sending them down the road." Good grief, these poor children.
Why aren't teachers required to wear bodycams at all times? Automatic firing if they turn it off.
Seems like the wrong direction to go in, don't you think?
When there was a fear of God in society, evil was subdued. Now that rebellion has begun to wave its goddamn 🏳️🌈 flag, evil is rampant.
What we need is Jesus.
Seems like that group has a problem and needs to have their buying ability stopped…just like gun owners. 180 means ALL of them are like this, so they must be ostracized.
One for each mandated day of class.
DUI Defense Attorney: "you allegedly saw my client exit the tavern and stumble toward his car. Why were you parked near the tavern?"
Cop: "Because that's where the drunks are"
I'm thinking investigators should hang out where the children are. Schools, churches, youth camps, little league... Because that's where the pedophiles are going to be.
Apparently, there are about 3.2 million teachers in America. These 180 are less than 0.006% Sad but kind of like my chances of dieing from Covid. Miniscule.
Sounds like we need universal background checks, a multiyear waiting period, training courses, etc for teachers.
Each school should also have teacher-free zones.
The right to sue the unions that produces offending teachers and the ability to destroy any teacher used in the commission of a crime.
thats not that many tbh
180, 360 annualized per yr/ 50m public school students per year = 0.00072%. annualized # is not quite right since kids are usually out of school 2-3mos / yr
I bet it's way higher in private schools and home schools where there is no reports mechanism, especially since most kids are abused by family members
Your numbers and logic are way off.
180 is the number of educators arrested. Why are you dividing that number by the number of students?
According to the article, 9.6% of students in grades 8 - 11 reported being the victim of sexual misconduct at the hands of an educator.
Grades 8 - 11 represent roughly 4/13 or 31% of the student population (4 years out of 13 years counting k-12). That would represent about 15m students, out of which roughly 1.5m have reported being the victim of sexual misconduct by an educator.
That's just looking at grades 8-11. It certainly doesn't mean k-7 and seniors are any safer.
if each teacher abused 1 kid it's correct. But double or triple or quadruple the rate and it's still tiny.
