Are you ready for massive power outages?

I swear there is a solar storm every week these days.
I have one concern and one concern only, my A/C.
Oh, is this one actually going to do something, or is it going to be a big nothing burger like last time, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the...
Stop listening to the news, listen to scientists like Ben Davidson of SuspiciousObservers.
He tackles this alarmism frequently. But he is worried about the great solar flash coming. He calls it the solar micro-nova.
It will happen sometime in the next 3000 years because that's the pattern and it's already happened at least 93 times in the last 2.6 million years.
Ben knows and he has been educating us about the sun since 2011.
Hey hey! A fellow observer!
"Eyes open, no fear, be safe everyone." -Ben Davidson
Do you also follow the professor running"seethepattern" on YouTube about the science of plasma cosmology and various other non-mainstream theories?
I like him to because he's giving and judgement free presentation of the theory and how it would play out.
At this point, I called these alarmingly fast global warming waves.
More fear porn.

Some links for folks that want them. These a few websites that solar nerds look at to see what the sun is doing. It is a common resource for folks concerned about the ionosphere and how it affects the propagation of radio waves. There are also Ham websites that reference this data and as far as I can tell are beyond the reach of the globalists. These guys are using satellites and observatories to monitor the sun and measure activity. Beware any sites that "predict" or anticipate solar activity. These are about as accurate as meteorlogical predictions and are prone to being wrong and able to be manipulated. Unfortunately, the government funded agencies and institutions are targeted for manipulation and are within easy reach of special interests. Most of the headlines that "predict" solar storms are fear porn and the source of their prediction is obviously misinterpreted or a source of disinformation. Our knowledge of the Sun is extremely limited and predictions about its behavior is akin to amoebas foretelling what elephants are going to do.
These are great!
Lol👌..."amoebas foretelling what elephants are going to do."
Just watch Ben Davidson on "suspicion observers" or go to his website. Guy literally wrote and published textbook on this stuff.
Nothing to worry about, northern lights to see.
What he's worried about is the apparently cyclical hyperflare/micronova that's going to happen some time in the next 3000 years. It's going to be biblical. Just like the last 93 times it happened during the Pleistocene ice age.
Once every 12-15 kiloyears a once in a thousand generations explosion from the sun his the Earth, destroying all nearly technological advancements via fire and induction and then the climate flips between glacial and interglacial so fast that animals get frozen standing chewing cud and flowers get encased in ice mid bloom or the other way, oceans rise so fast that no one can outrun the sea and everyone living in the subcontinental cave systems are fucked.
Mainstream headlines... ooh scary. These fuckers want to keep everyone in fear. Their shit is wearing off fast.
Yawn…
been ready for 6+ years... Big nothing burger so far
Don't forget your umbrella.
I see these regular warnings as the DS laying out a prepared explanation for a potential future shutdown of interwebs if there is a release of damning information about them.
THE CME HAS ARRIVED: Arriving almost exactly on time, a CME hit Earth's magnetic field on July 23rd at 0315 UT. The impact sparked a minor G1-class geomagnetic storm with auroras in some northern-tier US states.
There are eight sunspot groups on the solar disk. All of them have stable magnetic fields that pose little threat for strong solar flares. Credit: SDO/AIA

As long as it doesn't affect my ability to get an erection, I'm cool.
Storm in Progress: The minor (G1) geomagnetic storm threshold was reached at 03:59 UTC (Jul 23).
This solar storm barely reached the threshold to qualify as minor.
Yes
There is nothing new under the sun…
I remember several times since the late 60’s (when I became more cognitive of things) where solar flares disrupted OTA radio and tv signals for a few days off and on in late summer. Its some what common. Of course there has and will continue to be “Carrington” like events that happened in 1859. Not as noticeable now as technology moves along.
dies of laughter
No no no ... there was a slight CME but we are clear after today ... per solorham.com
“ Storm in Progress: The minor (G1) geomagnetic storm threshold was reached at 03:59 UTC (Jul 23).
The DSCOVR spacecraft is detecting a shock passage that is likely related to the faint halo CME observed leaving the Sun on July 21st. The solar wind speed looks to be nearing 700 km/s and the Bz component of the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) is trending south for now. An impact to Earth's geomagnetic field should take place within the next 45 minutes. A geomagnetic storm warning will be in effect. Aurora sky watchers at higher latitudes should be alert.
Update: The CME reached Earth just before 03:00 UTC with a geomagnetic sudden impulse recorded by the Boulder, CO magnetometer.
SUMMARY: Geomagnetic Sudden Impulse Observed: 2022 Jul 23 0259 UTC Deviation: 103 nT Station: MEA

Another star is going to strike the sun causing it to 'dance' in the sky. Then a few hours later, fire will fall from the sky consuming both the good and the evil.
Don't tell me it's going to last 10 days as well!
