Controlled, yes. Opposition? Depends on how awake you are. If you’re less awake, he’ll wake you. If you’re more awake, it can seem like he’s preventing people from finding the truth. However, people have to move through different levels. Alex was there for me when I needed him, when I would have rolled my eyes at the higher level stuff.

THIS is EXACTLY where I've settled at. to a "T", and after years of struggling with this question.
The reasons the controlled opposition tell us so much are a) the cabal believes they have to tell us what they're doing for the magick to work and to absolve themselves of responsibility, because they told us what they were doing and we allowed it by not stopping them; and b) the controlled opposition figure is then publicly humiliated or disgraced or "proven" wrong on something major, which then prevents the broader public from listening to anything that person has to say, discounting anything they report as "garbage" and "nonsense that only morons would believe." This technique has been very effective over the years.
Interesting. I may have a good example for your theory. There is an image going around on Telegram of Russell kissing the cheek of Yuval Noah Harari while holding a copy of Yuval's book "21 Lessons for the 21st Century". There is also a writeup that basically says that anyone who has been following Russell has been brainwashed.
I searched Tineye to see when/where the image came from, and it can't find any copies of the image on the web. Real? Fake? Who knows. If fake, it's a good one. The book was published in 2018, so I would imagine it was from that timeframe.
