So assuming 168 million is the correct number, that means more than 92% of registered voters actually voted. How would that percentage compare to previous elections?

A quick check shows 168 million registered voters in 2020. 155 million votes plus lets say another 5 million for random cantidates gives us an astounding 95% turnout. Way to go USA!

That number is closer to the total number who VOTED in the 2016 election, not the total registered.
