Thank you for poating this. Another thing i notice, the Marines standing with there hands at the front. In the military, you stand at attention and then move to parade rest after, i dont recall any proper custom or posture with the hands in front.
Has anyone else seen this posture before? As a Veteran, this seems foreign to me.
I agree. I'm a vet as well and never did stand like that... it's weird.

Good catch. This is not a proper position. It should be attention, parade rest, rest, at ease. Neither of those have hands in front.
I don't ever recall being in this position when in the military. I wonder if these guys are even Marines at all. (All that being said, I was in the Army, not Marines. I don't know if their drill positions are different than soldiers, or if they are different for WH guards, embassy guards etc...)

Yes I believe it is called the guards stance.
I looked for some videos of a president enter or debarking from Marine 1, i do not see this posture. Its attention, salute, then attention again and a last movement to parade rest.
I edited my previous comment, noting that I did a little quick research and apparently the Marines have a modified Parade Rest with hands at front.
Or they are working the remote.
That struck me too because that is a guards stance.

I hate to say, but the Marines are standing at 'parade rest'. Their hands would be behind their backs with their feet spread at shoulder width. I am not aware of any military stance with the hands in front unless a weapon is in hand. It appears neither a firearm or sword is in hand. I think we are seeing the glare of a uniform buckle.
I looked back at it more now that you mention it. Your post has a point, but i think the glow is too large proportionately to be a buckle.
They needed to emphasize that pimp hand on the military, about to bitch slap Biden all the way to gitmo.
Maybe nothing, but i believe this pucture is unedited. There seems to be light on the Marines's hand on the right. It reminds of the picture of the silhouette of Trump in the shadow with the light focusing on his right hand.
It's unedited, I actually noticed his hands getting brighter during the speech, it caught my attention. Don't know if it does mean anything but it was noticeable.

The coverage kept trying to lighten the scene. By the end the flags were pink
The red background looked too much like blood in the beginning. They lightened and added blue. It was more like cherry red at the end. And yes, the white stripes on the flag were pink by the time they got through tweeking it. 🤣

Just saw a better quality version of the pic elsewhere. The hands are being spotlighted from below and to the left. Very deliberate and would take pre-planning/ rehearsal to accomplish.
