Kilometers per hour? Per second? Meters/feet per second is a common one. But 36720 KPS would be a weird way to say it.

For those who don't know, the speed of light in a vacuum is 299792 KPS, so 36720 KPS isn't especially cosmically fast but it isn't slow either. That'd be bad if it hit, naturally.

Mind you the Asteroid 2022 RQ (< heheh) is also said to travel at 49536 in this article:

Again no idea whether if is Km or M, or handbreadths for that matter.

Also not the first number adds up to 9, as does the second one.

Edit, one is RW and the other is RQ, so tomorrow looks like a happening day. One is the size of an airplane, and the other is the size of a skyscraper. Go figure.

That right there is some very poor technical writing. And I should know, as I was a technical writer for many years in the science / engineering field. A unit of measure should always be readable and understandable. Maybe the rate the writer was going for was km/hr or mi/hr, but I suppose we'll never know, eh?

It might sound high, but this is part for the course for those objects. Keep in mind Earth's orbital velocity is about 30 km/s.
