I was quite happy with just not being pilloried for being on the opposite bus. Society seemed to get along just fine like that for 20 years or so. Then the Great Obamanation happened.

Then you think back about hate speech, political correctness, 9/11, fake wars, assisination (JFK) or attempts (Reagan), homosexual marriage, CA saying FU to their electorate when they voted to BAN homo "marriage", etc etc etc...

Similar to Chamberlain coming back with his peace treaty with Hitler saying it is peace in our time.

Only way to resolve this is through strength and commitment to the beliefs that keep us strong. Anything less is a failure.
