Hopefully every single employee gives the excuse, “Income tax is illegal per the Constitution.”
A man offered up a $50k reward if anyone could find a law that stated a person had to pay income tax so a woman who worked for the IRS set out to find the law stating as such because she could use that $50k. So she dug and dug to no avail. She could not find a single law anywhere. Just one of the countless lies we've been duped over the years.
Did that IRS employee magically end up dead?
Great question and I don't know. I should try and find that story. I remember reading about it.
Income tax is not illegal nor unconstitutional.
It's just that the vast majority of Americans have no legal requirement to pay it.
They are deceived and coerced into paying it.
It is an excise tax on engaging in a federal privilege, and nothing more.

Ironically, IRS agents WOULD be required to pay it. UNLESS ... they are NOT government employees. This has been the claim of some people for many years -- that IRS is not a government agency (just like the Federal Reserve is not), and therefore IRS agents are not federal government employees.
I don't know the specifics of that, but interesting considering this story.
Giving the phrase "Take a good look in the mirror" a whole new meaning.
Federal employees paying taxes is like filling a pond with water from the same pond.
You are mixing two concepts that cannot be mixed together: Logic and government.
Regardless of how much they are paid, they are paid from the Federal Treasury and their taxes go back into the Federal Treasury.
I bet there are more.
Anyone working for the IRS and did this must be fired. I get that really collection of taxes by the IRS and the IRS itself are illegal, but either they follow what we are held to or they lose their job. It is all or nothing for everyone, and I prefer nothing-no one pays federal taxes! The question I have is, why isn’t the IRS automatically deducting from their paycheck? You can bet if they didn’t owe more money, they would be filing to get back the deductions paid. I bet we find out a hell of a lot more didn’t file/pay. Put a lien on their homes, cars and fire them. How many years does this go back? I hope they are charged with exorbitant late fees we all are.
Very interesting question. One possible answer would be: IRS agent never filed a W4 form, so there was no legal basis to deduct. Or possibly, they did but checked "exempt" on the form, which I hear is what a lot of illegal aliens do.
I hope they dig on Hollywood too.
I once knew someone who had worked for the IRS. When she started getting notices from them regarding her taxes, she just laughed.
