So, who would be an acceptable Speaker come January? Support your answer. Assume Trump is not in the mix. He already said 'not interested' a while back.

NOT KEVIN MCCARTHY!
MAGA SPEAKER NOT RINO!
Jim Jordan? Devin Nunez is gone. I dunno....
I like Jim Jordan.
I agree, Quite a few of the names mentioned are good...
Some of my other picks are senators
Kennedy, Cotton, Paul
What would you think about Tucker Carlson? I realize this is a crazy idea, but he has a mastery of speech and knows what the hell is going on (and is not a politician). I believe, contrary to rumor, that he is on our side.
Tucker Carlson may sound crazy, but he has a decent following.
The Senate is needed as badly as the House, so I would not want to have a Senator leave his seat to be Speaker of The House, especially those three. That would (IMHO) leave us with no real fighters in the Senate. The House needs some new faces, anyway. Frankly if the Republicans can build on their leads, and get past the Democrats in some close races, I'd like to see MTG as house Majority Leader, or Kari Lake, for that matter. Matt Gaetz of Florida knows what it is like to be slandered by the Radical Left Wing and I think he would be a good Speaker of The House.
So ----> Tucker, MTG, Jordan <----
I could go for that...
I think they can. They would have to stop being senators.
Speaker DOES NOT have to be a member of Congress so Devin Nunez could be in the mix, just saying.
Andy Biggs - out of all the Republican Representatives he has probably been the most active and vocal about the 2020 election. There are a lot of big talkers who live the limelight, we need someone who moves on the conviction of their beliefs, Andy Biggs seems like that kind of person.
Jim Jordan, he's a patriot, nuff said.
Marjorie Taylor Greene, Roy (Can’t think of his last name from Texas), Candace Owens ( don’t have to be a member of govt to be Speaker)!
MTG is not afraid to say the quiet part out loud.
Hell no to RINO McCarthy an Yes to Jim Jordan!!
Me, I'll get up there and scream the truth at the top of my lungs while everyone works in tandem to drop red pills like crazy. Then when we have awakened as many as we can we can, we fix it all so it never happens again by securing time limits on all these bitches sitting there and putting strict measures in place where they can not cheat the system to become rich while true Americans suffer. Punishment for these people would be no slap on the wrist, first time would be the only time, off with their heads.....or hang them high.
I know, I know, getting a little over zealous here!!!
I will make the nomination. Who do I have to pay off to get you on the ballot?
Most likely Ukraine....ha
Clay Higgins or Kennedy from Louisiana. Both are winning and based in Louisiana.
I freaking love to listen to Kennedy.
The man is sharp as a razor -- with wit.
You'll be laughing while you are dying.
If it doesn't have to be someone already elected, I'd like to see Jericho Green. :)
Here is a very illuminating article from 2018 about the reality of the election for Speaker of the House of Representatives. https://www.congressionalinstitute.org/2018/12/28/how-the-house-elects-its-speaker/
Keep in mind that we don't get to choose the Speaker. The House is an institution; The Republican Conference is it's own community with longstanding customs. Speakers are usually nominated because of their track record in leadership of the Conference. Speakers are not typically nominated because of how conservative they are perceived to be, or due to clever soundbites they may have created.
So for someone to get the job, first, they have to want the job. Then someone has to nominate them. And if they are actually opposing conference leadership, then they run the risk of being left out of important committee assignments.
My prediction - Elise Stefanik.
Spin the Pick-A-Rino wheel.
no
I would hate for SD to lose their governor but Kristi Noem would be a good choice.
