Are you allowed to leave London without being vaccinated? If so, take advantage.
You just have to bring a negative test for the Chinese virus (I recommend that someone get you the test directly without having to do it), another option is as the user says, travel to Mexico, Mexico does not ask for a test for the Chinese virus or a vaccination, you travel to the border and enter the border posts, they do not ask you for anything, only the stamped passport.
It's OK for illegal immigrants to be unvaxxed. Not that I suggest you sneak in through the southern border, but it shows the system is punitive rather than medical. I suppose flying to Canada won't help.
There is a tab you slide over, under destination country, that's related to vaxx status. If you slide it you get the following message "Unvaccinated visitors from the xxxxxx will not be allowed to enter the United States."
However, per the link, exceptions can be granted under certain circumstances. They require the traveler to sign an attestation saying they meet one of these exceptions, but it is intentionally vague on whether additional proof of that exception is required. The link for the full list of requirements currently seems to be broken. They also want you to test when you arrive and self-quarantine, but with the availability of at-home kits and no more contact tracing, I don't think there's a way to enforce it.
I would check with your preferred airline to find out what documentation you would need in addition to signing the attestation. Another good source for documents and requirements is your local passport/visa agency. If they are available where you are, I highly recommend CIBT.
If in the end the only requirement is signing the attestation, I am of the opinion that "the shot will kill me" is a valid medical reason, but I am not encouraging or endorsing lying on an attestation form. You should do what is best and appropriate for you and your circumstances, and I hope this information helps you find your way here.
Citizens/permanent residents yes. Non citizens/non residents no. This is confirmed by both the state department and the CDC. No information on when they will repeal this policy, but as of right now, the policy stands.
There is a part on the CDC website that’s has exceptions. Personal safety, medical treatment, etc. I would really look into that angle and contact the US Embassy. There’s a chance bc you wouldn’t have time to be vaccinated in order to make it to the funeral. Maybe someone in the embassy can help?
An addendum to my previous post: I checked the British Airways website to get a more complete picture of the travel situation. It was there I found the attestation form you'd be required to fill out:
One of exceptions listed is humanitarian or emergency travel. You can verify with the airline, but I'm nearly certain a death in the family constitutes as emergency travel.
Now here's the thing: On the attestation form you have to pinky swear you're going to self-quarantine for 5 days and get tested, and if you are staying more than 60 days you're going to get vaccinated. However, to return to London you do not have to provide proof of being vaccinated, and I don't see anywhere that you have to provide proof of the stuff you agreed to on the attestation form. You should ask your airline or your passport agency if proof that you did the stuff you agreed to on the attestation form has to be provided to anyone. If yes, then I would recommend against traveling. If no, then it is up to you. The airlines and passport agencies may have a better idea of how it all works, but you do want to travel for emergency reasons, and fielding questions about these types of scenarios are common for these folks to deal with.
I know several people who have traveled out and back into the US with no vaxx. You are good, most airlines don't even required a mask full time anymore. Just check with the airline you are flying with and you should not have any issues. God bless and God speed. Prayers with you and your daughter as these times can be so hard.
Would if I could, I need to get to Seattle.
London.
You are in London and escaped getting vaccinated? You are an hero.
I live in Oxfordshire, there is still intense pressure to get people vaxxed. and boosted. Came close to telling my med centre to Foxtrot Oscar.

Maybe this will help - sounds like US citizens can be unvaxxed but non-citizens still need to be vaxxed. But I could be wrong, just a search:

Continued prayers for your family. 🙏
Thank you. This is dated July 14, 2022, maybe a travel agent will know if its still valid. Doesn't seem hopeful.

Computer says no.
Thanks. Looks like I won't be able to go to his funeral or be with my distraught daughter. So cruel.
Same for land crossing in Ontario. They never ask and I cross a lot.
Fucked up Fren. My condolences to you and your family.
I am so sorry for this! (Hug)
According to that site (Kayak) the United States is on the list of 190 Counties. “Open for travel. COVID-19 testing or quarantine is not required”

<cough>
As far as I’m aware citizens don’t need the vax.
First of all, Undine, I am very sorry for your loss. You and your daughter are in my prayers.
I read the CDC link and sadly they are still requiring proof of vaccination for travel to the US: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/international-travel-during-covid19.html#:~:text=Air%20Travel%3A%20All%20non%2DU.S.,this%20requirement%20and%20accepted%20vaccines.

You can always swim over to Texas or Arizona, And likely get several thousand send it to you to cover whatever you want to cover.

You don’t need to be backed if wear a sombrero and sneak over the border through Mexico.

Call the airline and airlines will not allow a passenger to board that does not have the proper documentation.
Best to call the airlines or the U.S. embassy in your country.
