I've tried explaining this to my colleagues, and their eyes glaze over as they revert back to their "Putin is Hitler" programming.
They simply cannot see how terrible the Ukrainian regime is, and what they have done to their people. The normies will view Putin as the tyrant invader up until the curtain falls, and we get real disclosure of the crimes against humanity that have gone on in Ukraine, and elsewhere in the world that have been kept under wrap all these years.
The once solace I have gained in my conversations was when one of my colleagues was noticeably confused as to why the war was going on so long, and why Russia hadn't escalated events. It was the recent tirade from Zelensky regarding the desire for a preemptive nuclear strike on Russia that spurred this line of thinking. They couldn't quite bridge the gap and land at a viable conclusion, but they are at least seeing discrepancies in the narrative. Mind you this is a Trump voting colleague of mine, and not a leftist. Even among Trump supporters, there are many who view Putin as the enemy in this conflict.
They never bothered to pay attention in history class; a common trend among many Americans who have grown complacent with the endless supply of entertainment and infotainment that serves as a distraction from the important tangible information that is changing the course of our history. This is a symptom of the communist indoctrination we are all experiencing on a daily basis.
When I asked my colleague why the Democrats and NATO were shilling for Zelensky and defending Ukraine's borders, when here in the homeland they couldn't give a damn about borders are state sovereignty, his honest answer was that they were trying to stop the spread of communism out of Russia. I told him that the Democrats don't care about communists overseas, because they are communists. He didn't have an answer to that one. The narrative is crumbling every day, and little by little the light is shining through the cracks.
I don't need to pay attention to politics and world events. As a woke white male who supports intersectional feminism, I'm smart enough to recognize communism when I see it.
In the mean time, I'm going to go back to playing Alistar support for a Kalista. Tencent is best company evar. See you in bot lane.
I sometimes try to point out that the Russians are not only a people who produce a Dostoyevsky---they are a people who READ Dostoyevky. Let that one sink in.
The Moscow-installed authorities of the port city of Mariupol, which fell to Russian forces after a devastating siege earlier in the year, took down a monument to Ukrainian victims of Stalin's famine on Wednesday.
Kyiv has been calling the 1930s man-made hunger under Joseph Stalin a "genocide", while Moscow has been downplaying it as an episode of famine all over the Soviet Union.
I dont think Russia is really distancing itself from its socialist past at all.
Stalin was Georgian actually, but I believe he surrounded himself with Ukrainians and non-Russians because a big point of the USSR was to subjugate the Russians
I don't know much but I watched a lot of Bald and Bankrupt's Russian travels on YouTube and the lay people he would talk to he would question that there is this nostalgia about the Soviet Union and how can that be with all the atrocities that were committed. It seems that as far as the general populace is concerned is that for all the bad there was stability, there was uniting cause amongst the people (good or bad) and that they were respected on the world stage while they have been largely the opposite of all that since
People will start searching for the truth, when they can no longer ,pay bills, and feed the kids. We are getting to that point , that people in general are seeing the dysfunction of our society. Right now in Europe, the fed is having to open up swaps doubling every week. First 3 billion, then 6, today over 11. Its the same as Lehmen Brothers , but now its the entire system. Bail ins in 90 days or less, I am calling it. You will own nothing, and you will be unhappy! Then because they broke the social contracts with society, like blm riots. Their will be no stopping people from getting to the halves, by the halves not.
He's spot on. I feel very bad for the way the Ukrainian people have been treated by there own government and used a cannon fodder by the west. Russia feels the same way. But the MSM just keeps up the Putin is evil and Russia needs to be nuked and the people watching are 100% buying everything they're told. I do feel very soon there's going to be a MAJOR paradigm shift and the media along with the rest of the treasonous garbage will be held accountable.

I know some like that. They still see Russia as the communist Soviet Union, which it is not.

Upvote this to the sky and shout it from the rooftops.
Give every rooftop Korean a megaphone (MAGAphone?) and a copy of Crime and Punishment.
It's, like, the opposite of Short Attention Span Theater.

What do you think about this.

Was that by any chance a monument celebrating the Nazi resistance leaders?
Use a careful eye when trusting the way western news outlets characterize events and actions.
Stalin was a Ukrainian. But he has been openly characterized as a bloody tyrant in Russia for decades.
Stalin was Georgian actually, but I believe he surrounded himself with Ukrainians and non-Russians because a big point of the USSR was to subjugate the Russians
You are correct. I knew he wasn't Russian. I actually knew he was Georgian, and somehow got it transposed in my mind. Thanks for the correction.

I respect Russia a heck of a lot more than i respected the USSR!

Remember when the USA claimed that Russia putting missles in Cuba was aggressive and hostile.
Remember when the USA surrounded Iran with the military occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan?
