Former Chinese president Hu Jintao was unexpectedly led out of Saturday’s closing ceremony of the Communist Party Congress, AFP journalists on the scene witnessed.
The frail-looking Hu, 79, initially seemed reluctant to leave the front row of Politburo Standing Committee members in Beijing’s Great Hall of the People, where he was sitting next to President Xi Jinping.
He had brief exchanges with Xi and Premier Li Keqiang after stewards spoke with him. A steward, holding Hu’s arm, led the former president out.
Hu patted Li’s shoulder as he left. His departure was not explained. Hu, who retired in 2013, appeared at last Sunday’s Congress opening with his hair completely grey.
Xi, 69, is widely expected to be reaffirmed this weekend as the Party’s General Secretary, paving the way for him to gain a norm-breaking third term as Chinese president next March.
The new Central Committee of around 200 senior Party officials was elected shortly after 11am Saturday, state media agency Xinhua reported, without disclosing a full list of members
I’ll have to ask my husband (Chinese dude who lived in Hong Kong until he was in his 50s, worked under CEO China airlines, had a business in Hong Kong and still knows some peops) his opinion on this. He’s an old man now but keeps up with this stuff. I like to get his thoughts on this stuff as he lived it. Course his not anon but sometimes it’s good to get info from feet on the ground peops, per se.
so, did you ask him? and what did he say?
He says Hong Kong news is saying it’s because Jintao has health problems. Supposedly those “escorting” him were Jintao’s helpers. He says Jintau patted Li’s shoulder as he left which he takes as a sign because the Chinese people like Li but hate Xi. He says it’s 50/50 that the illness aspect is true and there’s not another reason as Chinese news is like our US news. But he also believes there will be a civil war in China as Xi is despised. Jintau was liked and is pro HongKong unlike Xi.
Hongkong was a Soros color revolution.
Jintau is still loyal to the Cabal faction he belongs to.
Xi has veered off the script and they realise he is not under their control.
Hence the MSM paints Xi as a tyrant and why people supposedly love Jintau (Think of normies liking Obama or Hillary).
Xi has been cleaning out the old guard over the past two years. This CCP congress is probably going to make it very clear who has the real power. I am assuming its Xi, and he is now working for the WHs.
That last bit where Li pats Xi's shoulders and Xi's slight smile and look of content - it says a whole lot. Its the moment its dawning on Li and his folks that they are being thrown under the bus.
Glorious.
Hope that’s true, as I tend to believe Xi is as you say. The scenario must be like those with Biden here, although my husband is a strict Trump guy and has always been conservative. However we often get in heated discussion about who the real Xi is.
However I do believe the video is telling, as Xi looks like he’s disgusted with Jintao, but Jintao affectionately pats Li’s shoulder. Definitely some sort of good guys vs bad guys tell I think.
Yeah, Jintao definitely is hoping Xi would intervene. Xi is just like Putin - initially were part of the Cabal's structure, but at some point they rebelled, and were supported by the WHs to ensure they play the tough game of walking the fine balance between doing what the Cabal wants and getting killed by the Cabal.
This is not a strong topic for me, but I was under the assumption there were 2 heads of the CCP, the President, and whoever runs Hong Kong. I heard this from Rush Limbaugh years ago.
Yes, Xi has been shaking things up here and there, and seemed to be at odds with HK leadership. Xi would make decisions that was detrimental to the CCP as a whole.
Thanks for the comment, I’ve been casually digging for something like this for a I couple of days. It looks like HK has just fallen and consolidated behind Xi. Lets wait and see if more CCP get purged like what happened when the House of Saud fell. I doubt we’ll hear anything because of China’s Great Firewall.
This very much. This is what gave me the clue that he is purging CCP from the inside.
This is their version of the envelopes at the Bush Sr funeral. Brilliant staging.
Also kinda reminds me of the Killary's "side of beef" incident.
That's my read on it, too.
If you've ever watched films that depict someone being taken outside, knowing that they are going to be whacked by their mob buddies (former), And you can read the real human acting portraying the response, well....
And taking the guy out in front of everyone is a really big, clear signal, one that would not be undertaken unless everything was already in place. IMO.
Fuck yeah, don't be in a bubble.
This open display of him getting led out against his will is a statement. Whether Hu is acting or not, just gives Xi a pure look of total control, and Hu, subserviency.
If you watch a longer clip, when Xi walked out at the end of the congress, I saw many greeted Xi and some ignored him.
Is this a big deal?.....YES! It's huge. This was done very publicly and I feel it's a notice to the DS in China that you're FINISHED! He knew what was going on and was terrified. He won't be seen again. Xi was looking from what I could see sort of amused and had a "well your fucked dude see yeah!" look on his face.
(unheard dialog?)
Aide: Sir, you have to go.
Hu: I don't want to go. You're gonna whack me. Here, let me look at this agenda. I'm on board!!!
Xi: No. I don't think so. Suck it up, man.
Aide: Yes, we're gonna whack you. But it will be better for your family if you come along quietly. You know how it rolls.
Xi: (unspoken) You're out. Them's the breaks. Now, you break.
Hu, leaving: Xi, is this real man? What th'?
Xi: Yep. Them's the breaks.
Hu, to Li: So long, bro.
Li: Too bad. Them's the breaks.
Sitting CCP Officials: (unspoken) He's out. F*cksake glad it's not me. Now, watch me being devoid of expression. No way! do I side with this traitor. I'm a good boy.
Sitting CCP Officials all: (unspoken) We know how it rolls. That's one dead motherf*cker. But, you'll see no sympathy from us. We're all good boys.
Poll: Over 80% of Americans See China as a Human Rights, Economy, Military Problem
Gallup also detected a pronounced shift in Americans’ attitudes toward China when it ran a poll in March, around the same time as the previous Pew poll. Gallup found the number of Americans who viewed China as their “greatest enemy” more than doubled over the preceding year, even as the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic was receding. Poll analysts suspected the economic damage inflicted to the Western world by the coronavirus could have made the public more conscious of China’s economic power and aggression. Source: breitbart.com
He probably disagreed with "Dear Comrade Leader" about something. Next stop is most likely a firing squad. This is how Communists deal with contrary opinions. This is the direction the left has us heading in the U.S.
oh, you are skeptical of the claim that men can get pregnant?
you're cancelled!
If Xi is a good guy, why did China infiltrate our govt? Involved with stealing the election?
Is it the deep state of China? I don't trust anyone right now...

He looks TERRIFIED. They had to pry him out of the chair. Then as he started to walk, he paused and resisted. Looks like he made one last plea to Xi and then tapped his buddy on the shoulder realizing his fate. Interesting.........
That was nearly a carry-out by all four limbs.
Oh, hell no, he didn’t want to leave at all. Health reasons my arse. Like the comment above, this looked just like Hillary getting thrown into a van like a side of beef!
It looks like they initially tried to pry him off his chair. Really didn’t seem voluntary.
Also, Xi’s face is priceless. Pretty much saying “you’re making this a lot more difficult than it needs to be.”
