I think Musk is going to do whatever Musk is going to do - the "did everything we could to appease the activists" is just him saying "We tried, but there's just no pleasing these people" and then he's just going to do whatever it is he's planned to do all along. Don't twist my words here - my jury is still out on Musk and his intentions. This statement just seems like Musk is trying to frame the narrative that he has tried to address their concerns so the crying leftists can't say he didn't care about their "feelings".
I think there may have been more sarcasm in that sentence than we realize.
Agreed. "Everything we could" is a moving target. I've said things like that in negotiations knowing it means nothing... so...
But isn't that exactly what they did, hiring all those purple haired liberals and gave them the power to censor conservatives at will.
I haven't made my mind up yet about Elon. He has a long history as a Democrat so I have a healthy skepticism about what he says he will do. We'll see.
Many of us were skeptical of DJT at first. I thought he was another Romney type, controlled opposition RINO, and almost didn't vote in 2016. Changed my mind about him about 2 weeks before the election, and glad I did.
The system was rigged I though in 2016. I had a friend beg me on Election Day to go and I did. Voted first Trump, worked night shift that day and stressed out all night until a friend told me he won. 😄
I consider that a dog whistle to those wanting him to censor.

well, I did my part to help the guy out....I stopped blocking ALL advertisers and promoted sites - figured I'd give him a chance and make some money. I posted something that another person said they'd been suspended for....and nothing happened.....so maybe there's hope.
