Elon Didn't Mean It!: Musk's Twitter Asks Workers to Come Back - Days After Firing Them
After laying off almost half the company last Friday, Elon Musk is asking dozens of employees who were fired to return to work after discovering they were vital to the company's operation.
And we are to believe Breitbart. Did you hear elon say this?
It's according to two people familiar with the matter.... According to Breitbart..... Who has been pushing a lot of Ukraine disinformation and been pretty unreliable in many areas for some time.
Andrew would not be pleased.
breitbart has also been attacking kanye and kyrie
He's rolling in his grave.
F***. YOU. JOHN. PEDOSTA.
what's a couple dozen mistakes when you liquidated half the company worldwide? Also funny if they were antifa types and they had to come slinking back to get their job back.
So half the company or over 3000 people were laid off and now they’re asking “dozens” to return due to mistakes. That seems perfectly reasonable. Lots of confusion when half of the employees are let go. I can easily see a few mistakes. Especially when mid managers are being let go and it’s the high end tech guy who was under that manager that they really need.
lol this article says employees are suing Elon because they were not given enough notice. You dont need to notify people in a layoff or a firing. I know I was laid off and I found out the day of the layoff. I was working from home on my computer and it suddenly went down and I couldnt get back in.
He gave them so many weeks of severance that it counts as notice, they are just locked out and not allowed to fuck things up in the meantime.
Has to do with the WARN Act in CA (and I think also NY), which requires 60 days notice. What they fail to mention is that the laid-off are being paid and getting benefits for the next 90 days, which looks to me to be in compliance with and to even exceed the WARN Act.
He actually gave them 3 months paid employment, they just arent allowed to come to work.
A company needs a dynamic element. There needs to be a better way of engaging Professionals and keeping them secure for an entire career. We have form simpler system to live within.
That's brutal. There is no need for that kind of thing. The boss was probably a malignant narcissist. God Bless you.
They weren't even fired yet, they are still being paid until the paperwork is done.
whatever.
I'll wait for the announcement from the head twit on this one.
Good plan. Fire every one of them first for cause. Those with talent willing to do the work, offer a new deal.
Not particularly shocking. They Laid off 50+% of staff. Wouldn’t be surprising if they figured out a few people they fired were actually more important to the company then their job title or amount of work they put in suggested.
He asserted his power, and then showed mercy.
In PA when youre fired or laid off you can get unemployment compensation. BUT if your boss calls you back and you refuse you lose that benefit.
You soin me right round baby right round.
Meatspin.
This is a shitpost, right?
