Public schooling is long-term unfixable. Short term it can be made to work but like every other part of government, corruption creeps in. Like rust, corruption never sleeps, and the Ring of Power has a mind of its own.
Nice idea, but no cigar my friend. Actually, it is an indictment! It constitutes parental neglect to "discover" after 13 years your kid cannot read or do calculus correctly.
Where was your head at? your ass? someone else's ass?
I thought they passed school vouchers so you could take the money to the school of choice. Parents need to coop to home school...but the basis of this problem is taking moms out of the home. Two parents working is not ideal for children...especially young children. The Bible says "Come out of Babylon" and since our schools have turned into a free for all for every sick teaching...why put your children there???
Yeah, sueing the school is great but what if you get corrupt judge or jury? When I stopped home schooling, I became substitute teacher so I knew what was going on. I was in their schools 5 days a week. You meet the administration, teachers...heck even the janitors and cafeteria staff. People have to take responsibility for their children...the buck stops with you.
It's not their fault. They just need more funding. Even tho grad rates and skills have dropped as their wages have steadily gone up.
Dept of Indoctrination has been raping IL for decades and producing armies of ignorant dems who hate God, Country, Males, and Whites. So basically it's working just as intended. Pensions are winning lotto tickets. Insanity and theft right out in the open. Gov and Unions = terrorists.
Agree to a degree, BUT no way would I assume that a school was adequately educating my kid. "Parenting" is a duty and an obligation to raise children in a way that enables them to be well-rounded, capable and productive adults.
If parents find out their kids aren't being adequately educated, the parents have a duty TO THE CHILD to find out why the school is failing the child, to try to rectify matters there and, in the meantime, to take matters into their own hands to ensure that the kid learns the subject matter because being ignorant and/or complicit in the travesty is equally as bad as the offense committed by the school.
A broken car you notice immediately, but if you sent your kid to public school for 13 fucking years and never noticed what was happening, what does that tell about your care for that kid?
Yes it is the parents responsibility to make sure they are learning, yes it is their responsibility to have a close look on WHAT they are learning, period.
Your logic would give credit to people suing MacDonald's for being fat...
Its your duty and obligation to make sure your new car works
If a car does not work, one would assume that would be noticed immediately
But that is beside the point, it is a parent's obligation to accompany their children's education AT ALL TIMES, and make adjustments if needed, change schools, home-school, whatever it takes.
And not just relegate their education to the state and wash their hands... then 13 years later sue the state because "they didn't learn how to read!!!"
Oh so if said car model's breaks fail 2 years down the road then that's the buyers fault. Nah schools have to be held accountable for the end result of your child's education. That is what they get paid for and if they fall short of that then all money must be refunded. End transmission.
I agree but the public school system needs to be taken down first. In there place will be private schools and said policies will be setup by the customers not corporate HQ. If the parent is dissatisfied on how the vote on policy goes then they can immediately withdraw their kids from said school
Amen to that.
Everything government touches turns to shit.

Do you mean "standard" math, or actual calculus?
4+5 = 45. these people can be really short changed.
I see because you said so.

The ability to sue them would put a stop to that.

Lets apply that to buying a car "Its your duty and obligation to make sure your new car works. The car manufacturer is only part of that problem"
What a poor low effort analogy
A broken car you notice immediately, but if you sent your kid to public school for 13 fucking years and never noticed what was happening, what does that tell about your care for that kid?

Notice immediately? Is that why the have recalls years after one owns it?
here was your own wording:
If a car does not work, one would assume that would be noticed immediately

The school system has to be dismantled completely fren
But if the parents don't wise up to their responsibilities it will all be in vain.
