This is fantastic news. But there are still two people wearing masks in a crowd of people that are not wearing masks. We still need a little help in that department, but I think since the pandemic we will continue to see people with face diapers for the next 10 years. When I see this, I just pray for those people. They are living a fearful life. How sad is that
As long as they are not trying to force anyone else into wearing a mask i couldn't care what they personally do
I care because a) these jackasses keep trying to bring back mandates or b) they'll immediately fall in line when some other tyrant tries to.
We need to make examples of the tyrants. Petty tyrants down to the teacher and nurse level need to feel fear, since compassion and empathy were too much to ask.
How do you know they are not undergoing cancer treatments, autoimmune disorder? You don't.
You dont know that. Just because the wear mask doesn't mean the are trying to force it on you. My point was not forcing your viewpoint on others.
Look again. I see at least five.
U gonna comply. Mandates are just another thing to ignore again.
So what, that does not negate the fact that they can do what the fuck they like as long as its legal and they are not forcing it on others.
Many people have that much disconnect with reality in their brains, but don't signal it. At least with the mask wearers, we can tell at a glance.
exactly they perpetuate the psyop on the rest of us and continue to NORMALIZE madness
My husband has brain cancer and must wear a mask so he doesn't get sick and continue treatment. I wear one to help diminish my potential of getting sick and giving it to him altho it is not 100% full proof. There are some people who thru Fauci and others indoctrination of fear over the last two years may never take off their masks ever again. I feel sorry for them, because they have no ability to critically think.
Masks have microplastics that harm the lungs and create unnecessary burdens on our health care system. Hey, they use that on smokers, so all's fair.
Also, masks deprive them of oxygen and I don't want people driving like they're intoxicated, public menace.
I don’t care if somebody wants to wear one or not, but I think the reason they are wearing them is because they’re fearful and they bought into the psyop. I think it’s sad so I pray for them. Before Covid nobody was wearing masks anywhere at any time, except for an a medical and dental facility. And even that was iffy.
Not to be too pedantic but I saw 4. Yeah we got a ways to go.
edit: oops, 5 with another one as a possible, so maybe 6.
Oh you are right. But thank you for using the word pedantic. Most people don’t even know that word. I love it. Yes, we have a ways to go.
Some people are just plain ugly and they feel better about themselves with their face covered.
I’m starting to figure that out. My friend and I were at Walmart the other day, in the clearance aisle… And the only two people that came down that aisle, who had masks on were both men. One was an older man, and another guy was Hispanic. My friend just looked at me and said, can you believe it? She was just flabbergasted. It’s never going to end. I just pray for people because I know they’re afraid, or insecure. So sad.
People in Asia wore those stupid things on their faces for years after SARS was gone.
Asians wear face masks when they are sick, it's a cultural thing, had nothing to do with SARS as far as I am aware. I'm talking pre-Covid here.
Some wear them because of the air quality.
This. Smog and air pollution are still really bad in many cities around the world. And here
I know one personally who, precovid, wanted to wear them because it made her feel more secure being able to hide by covering most of her face, and more "cute" in her mind because she could draw attention away from her face's shape up to her eyes. Her face's shape was/is perfectly good, but unrealistic beauty standards are even more ubiquitous there than here
Yes, this is true. People in Japan, in particular, when they don’t feel well, they wear a mask. But they don’t wear masks to not get sick, they wear them to not spread their sickness. My brothers lived in Japan for 30 years, so that’s one place I know for sure people do this. Besides that they were very compliant civilization.
For me, if a person wants/needs to wear a mask, that is their choice. Do not force anyone to wear a mask or not wear a mask.
Did it ever occur to you that they might have legitimate medical reasons for wearing a mask in a public place (e.g., they are getting over a bout of pneumonia)? Or do you hold that such reasons are impossible?
Before there were mask mandates, it was cool if anyone wanted or needed to wear a mask. Be cool or be a tool.
That would be fine if masks offered any such protection. But there are plenty of studies which prove they don't and can even make it worse.
So, it's a good idea for sick people to go abroad in the public without a mask? For the sake of not spreading what they have? And who is hurt by this, exactly?
But the answer is: no one. And here is where your position falls apart. If wearing masks makes no difference (which I mostly accept), then you should have no concern for what other people want to do about it. Especially, if they are NOT jumping down your throat.
No, I never considered any of those things. I’ve never seen people wearing masks in America until Covid. End of story.
The only places that I’ve seen people wearing those are in a dental office, or in a hospital when they’re preparing for surgery. But even nurses back in the day, did not wear masks over their face just to come in and take your vitals.
The only place I would say it’s normal to wear a mask when you’re not feeling well, is Japan. And that’s only because I’ve been there and I know my brothers live there for 30 years.
Before Covid, people in America did not wear masks to go out in public, to go to a school event, or for any reason for that matter. If somebody didn’t feel well, they stayed home, and wash their hands.
Oh, I agree with everything you said. But nowadays, it is not always easy to stay at home and sometimes an expedition is necessary. If I had bronchitis or pneumonia and had to venture forth for some necessary errand, I might consider wearing a mask just because I was coughing, etc. But that would be the only occasion I could imagine. (I happen to have compromised health, and even simple errands like grocery shopping are wearisome expeditions for me.)
The sad reason that people are so susceptible to being brainwashed by the media is because they are ignorant. Our educational system has become a parody over the past 50-60 years. Basic knowledge has been dumbed down, and critical thinking is taught (when it is taught) by people who themselves cannot think critically. Grade-school classrooms have become distraction chambers (I saw this decades ago). The fruit of too much comfort and complacency, I fear. The phenomenon of the "snowflake" is only the logical extension of this coddling and lack of challenge.
💯. I am 58 and this started back in 1963 when they removed the Bible from school and replaced it with Darwinism!
When you are taught you are not created by god and are an animal- this is the result. Animalistic behaviors- anything goes.
It just shows those who have lost and continue to lose IQ.
Not really, I was just pointing out the obvious. I’m not sure why anybody would be upset about that. When I go out in public, and I see people wearing masks, I pray for them. Apparently they are afraid, and fearful. They bought the lie.
The entire time that I was a mother and my daughter was in school, I’ve never once ever seen a person wear a mask to a school event. End of story.
